Great tool to monitor a network

Fing comes in various flavours, including a Desktop version for macOS and Windows, a hardware device (FIngbox) and an agent (runs on RaspberryPi, Docker etc).

Running Fing allows the network to be monitored (notification of new devices joining etc) and can also control which devices can join or even block devices.

It also measures bandwidth to the "Internet" which is good for comparing with other users or other Internet providers.

All in all a useful tool

Many useful features

I enjoyed using the many features of the premium app. However, I was pushed to discontinue by incompatibility of other devices. Hence, 4 stars.

Fing: The Needle at the bottom of the Haystack

Fing does a fantastic job of scrutinizing networks and delivering data as a comprehensive report. Finding Fing was like discovering the needle after working throught haystack after haystack. I am grateful that I did not give up my search for a software that met my networking needs, as I had previously tested several different apps, all of them very much alike in their mediocre attempts.
Fing is not without its unavoidable room for improvement. Whether it is the passing of time or the consolidation of efforts, I am counting on Fing to deliver outstanding updates packed with features, and if they don't someone will build off what they have already done.
All in all I am a fan.

Just the Fing for a network overview

I have only experimented with the free version on my home network, which is a little more elaborate than the average. Fing is a full featured tool with many useful options and you don't need to be a Seventh Level Network GuRu from the future to understand it. I am considering a paid for option simply because I am an interested ex Network Engineer.

Very useful too for complex home networks

Fing has helped me check my home network and identify issues after converting to a 5G broadband solution from my previous consumer wired broadband ISP. N.B. I am not using an off the shelf consumer 5G router, so the setup is more challenging.

I followed Fing since they launched

I know Fing from the times they were crowdfunding, bought the kit in their first market offer. For my home use I would favour receiving options for efficiently limiting access to my kids so to balance their life better and eventually study a little more. Alerts on intrusions would also be welcome, under pay per use options.

I can't block because you say that my router isn't verified. I bought a years worth of premium so I could block others from using MY router. But you are stopping me. I'm not impressed!!! I've only had fing for less than a week.
