Another Outdoor First Aid course expertly delivered by Maggie from First Aid Academy. This was my fourth time with this company, but always new things to learn. Maggie was professional & engaging throughout, happy to answer any question, & plenty of laughs were had even though this is a serious subject. The outdoor practical parts are particularly useful in consolidating what has been learnt.

Outstanding first aid course with lots of practical scenarios to apply skills.

I've done the Outdoor First Aid four times with these guys and each time I learn new things. Very flexible approach; willing to expand and utilise their vast experiences. The formal aspects, like the test and practical were vigorous but done in a friendly and relaxed manner.

We attended the Outdoor First Aid Training course in Keswick, this weekend.

Maggie is a very engaging trainer and she is extremely knowledgeable. We learned much more than we anticipated and really enjoyed the whole experience. Lots of laughs were had, too. Thank you 😊

Alan was really engaging and kept the course interesting.
I have ADHD and my lack of focus can be really detrimental to my learning but I felt really interested and focused throughout the whole session.
I also had some physical health problems and Alan made little adjustments so that I wouldn’t be in pain which was so helpful.
I went into the course feeling worried I wouldn’t be able to focus mentally or complete it physically and I left feeling really positive.
I learnt a lot, feel much more confident and would really recommend!

Great course, this the first place you should go to for a first aid course. Alan ( tutor) was helpful with easy to understand answers to any questions asked.

Practical and hands on training, very effective way of teaching in that you’re more likely to remember what you’ve learned when applied to a real life scenario. The theory side was delivered effectively and there was plenty of scope to ask questions . Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

If a first aid course involves a lot of theory and little practice, it is soon forgotten and the trainee does not feel like a qualified First Aider. This one is excellent in that it focuses on the lifesaving essentials (including ongoing danger to oneself and others nearby!) and gives saturation practice in CPR and the use of a defib machine. Now I feel like if I come across anyone having a doze in the sunshine, they'd better wake up smartly when I start checking them out . .

Excellent course very knowledgeable and experienced trainer

Very knowledgeable and experienced trainer, made a challenging subject very understandable. Very "hands on" practical demonstrations of various life threatening situations. Very good rapport with the participants and allowed free flow of questions and answers.

A great instructor who was very knowledgeable and gave good examples and experiences to embed the information. Would highly recommend and will be booking again in 3 yrs.

Well organised. An engaging and knowledgeable trainer who understood Forest School. Lots of practical experience on the course. I felt comfortable asking questions. I would highly recommend this company.

A great learning weekend with a fantastic instructor. She was engaging and entertaining.

Excellent service, well explained and great handouts. This was a refresher course but my friend did it at the same time for the first time. I originally trained with Polaris in Reading, 100% better.

From minute one, when booking the course, we could not fault Alan and First Aid Academy. Quick responses, clear communication, able to accommodate all our requests. Over the two-day course, we were all made to feel comfortable in asking questions, were given plenty of time to practice skills and improve our knowledge. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Excellent First Aid Course.
It was the first time that I had attended a First Aid course and so had a lot to learn. However our instructor, Maggie, was very comprehensive in her training and I was very pleased with the level of knowledge I absorbed during the two days of the course.

Gave loads of practical examples. Alan was really easy to understand and made the sessions engaging. He was very approachable and you could ask as many questions as you needed without feeling silly.

An excellent, comprehensive and thoroughly absorbing training in outdoor first aid. Much the best I have attended. Our trainer was engaging, ever attentive to the programme and the application of what we'd learnt in the class room to practical scenarios outdoors.
