We used First Student for transportation to and from our hotel for our wedding this past weekend, and they were absolutely outstanding. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. The buses arrived on time, the drivers were professional and friendly, and everything ran smoothly without a single hiccup, exactly what you hope for on such an important day.

Our guests were comfortable, the logistics were effortless, and the entire team made us feel confident that transportation was one thing we didn’t have to worry about. They truly delivered exceptional service.

If I could recommend them again, I absolutely would. First Student played a big part in making our Friday night event run perfectly, and we’re incredibly grateful.

We recently used this bus service for a daycare field trip, and unfortunately, our experience with management was very disappointing. The bus arrived 45 minutes late, which pushed us significantly past our scheduled field trip time and disrupted our entire day.

When I contacted the office, the woman I spoke with was rude and dismissive, showing little concern for the inconvenience caused. While traffic can certainly happen, there was no accountability or effort to communicate proactively.

That said, I do want to highlight that our bus driver was absolutely wonderful! professional, kind, and great with the children. They were the only bright spot in an otherwise frustrating experience.

Due to the lack of professionalism from management, we would hesitate to use this company again.

We used this company for the first time and will certainly never use them again. Unfortunately we had an incorrect address listed on the itinerary. They would not allow us to switch drop off points- even when it was significantly closer or easier. We also ended up with bad weather and wanted to change plans- again they would not allow us to do so. They were expensive to begin with and then charged as an extra change fee to eliminate one of the stops (which we couldn't do becuase of the weather)! They were unkind and inflexible which is incredibly difficult to deal with.

The driver’s communication throughout the trip was excellent. She was attentive and responsive to all guests. Highly recommend as an option for a night out as a groups designated driver.

Rented a bus to take a group of about 20 to the winery and it was a great experience! The person I talked to on the phone answered all my questions and they were good about booking me a trip only a week in advance. The bus arrived on time, even a little early, and gave our leeway to make sure every one was able to make it on. The bus driver was awesome and picked us up/dropped us off exactly the times we needed. Overall great experience and I would rent again!

Incredible, fantastic, highly recommend. This is my third year using First Charter and they always are so easy and pleasant to work with!

One of our bus drivers brought their children along with them on the bus to pick up the students enrolled in our summer program. We are a state licensed facility and need to follow state guidelines about who can and cannot be around children, also we got just enough buses to fit our students so what would've happened if we ran out of seats because there were two extra people on the bus? Then that same bus driver left the location of our field trip and returned late, only after I asked her colleague to get in touch with her. She arrived after we loaded the other two buses. The students were standing outside in the heat waiting for her to return. To say I was unimpressed with the customer service would be an understatement, we have another trip booked with First Charter and I hope we do not have the same experience or bus driver.

We had a great experience with First Student! We booked two buses for our wedding, and our guests complimented the convenience and cleanliness of the buses. I spoke with dispatch a few times, and they were always very helpful and made any changes I needed with ease. My only suggestion is to adhere to the given schedules a bit closer. Our guests told me their bus did not leave until about 15 minutes after the scheduled time.

Driver was very communicative and polite to our families!

We had a bus scheduled for pickup at Carlow University 6pm, 2/1/2023. No bus, no email, NOTHING. I am thankful for the dispatch person answering my phone call. I am highly disappointed and embarrassed that this happened. There is lack of communication and caused hardship with the group of students I was accompanying to the Byham theatre. The reservation was made in the middle of January, plenty of time to find a driver or communicate that the bus was not available.

The bus driver Alan was very patient and kind. The only issue was that he was late, due to circumstances beyond his control.

We used First Charter for our wedding. They were flexible with last minute changes, and our driver was very kind and professional.

We used First charter as shuttles to and from our hotel and wedding venue. They showed up on time, got our guests to the destinations safely, and were easy to work with! No complaints on my end.

First Student staff online and on the phone were very professional and very helpful. However, the bus driver drove my students to the wrong destination (completely wrong direction) and then he got very upset with the students when they pointed out that they were not going to the right place. I have a staff member who was with them (they are college students) who assured me that my students were professional and courteous in their interaction with him but that his reaction was very rude. He went on to blame them for the mistake and continued to be upset with them as the day went on.

The buses were on time and the drivers were professional, personable and so very accommodating. Great experience.

We have used First Charter Bus Rental in the South Side for three years now for our Goat Fest event and we have been very happy with the drivers and the service. This year, when the driver pulled up he announced that he had to go get lunch as he had not eaten. That was bad news for us as it meant that the shuttle service did not start on time. On the other hand, the driver did make one extra trip at the end of the day - staying a few minutes later. So, it worked out in the end.

The process to book was simple and easy. Our bus driver showed up on time and we had no problems the whole night!!! Our driver was very sweet and tried to help us with anything we needed!! I would definitely book again

I found out the morning of the event that the company I had contracted with was only going to supply two buses, and we needed three! I didn’t want to disappoint the children! After making a few calls First Charter came through and save the day!
