Fish shack Sandycove: very disappointing dining experience, went there this evening with my husband, had visited many times in the past always good, sadly not anymore. Husbands meal of paella was so so, my meal was smelt bad, but I still tried to eat it, but it was completely inedible. When we were paying I told the girl who served us and I asked her to inform the chef, she didn't come back to us, so I called her and asked her what he said, she said "he said it was fine"?? They were not interested in hearing my feedback or even acknowledging it? Not good food or service...very disappointing experience all round.

At your location in Sandycove the food health and safety appears to be below the standards. I have ordered a seafood chowder. It came with garnish of unwashed, sandy onion leaves. When confronted the manager told me "is not going to kill you". The attitude and lack of any sense of responsibility towards the customer is really disappointing and for that reason I am not in a position to recommend this restaurant.
