Exceptional service. From the first video pricing, to the several calls, the emails, the move itself.. Accuracy and punctuality are their nature. Very professional, courteous, and friendly movers. I highly recommend FlatRate for anyone looking for an excellent and affordable moving company. This is my third time moving with them, and I am very satisfied.

They were quick and professional. They worked as a team to move my stuff quickly. Outside of a traffic delay, I was done and unpacked without any major obstacles.

They stayed true to their price even after having to send a third truck to complete the move. They did a great job moving everything and the crew and supervisors were so professional. I highly recommend Flat rate moving.

Everything was great from start to finish. Adam, the sales rep was extremely helpful and my movers Josh and Anthony were FABULOUS. Everyone involved made this process as painless and stress free as possible and I am extremely thankful.

The men that moved me listened to my needs. The move was excellent. The only thing I was unhappy with is the move was suppose to happen in the morning between 9-10 but then they couldn’t get to me until 2:00. But they did keep me informed.

We had a great experience with FlatRate Moving. Everyone we communicated with was really kind and responsive through the whole process. I also appreciated getting a confirmation call a few days prior to the move with the opportunity to make any last minute changes, and receiving a link day-of so we could track the movers' ETA. The moving teams was on-time, efficient, careful with our belongings, and easy to work with. They did a great job making moving day go as smoothly as possible and we would use FlatRate again in the future and recommend them to others.

The staff that helped us move today from nyc to Philadelphia were very nice and helpful. They handled all our belongings with care and were very respectful. This is my second time using flat rate and I recommend it to anyone.

Do not use. I had an awful experience and had heard not back from customer support. The movers stole items from my house, made uncomfortable comments, took several cigarette breaks, and did a terrible job packing. We spent hours re- doing their work. I would advise people to find a different company, especially as there are so many other options.

Update: customer service finally got back to me with a measly apology and “compensation” to refund the stolen items and my time for redoing the entire move job. I let them know it was not satisfactory, and have not heard back.

Overall, it seems that using this company is a total risk and gamble. Not worth it if you have nice items you care about.

I have used these guys twice and they are amazing! They show up on time, are professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them! We will be doing an office move in a couple months and I will be referring them for the job!

These 3 guys from FlatRate — Nikita, Zafar, and Mansur —who moved me were fantastic: VERY polite, super-efficient, calm, careful, courteous, and VERY fast.
Anyone who has moved will attest to how stressful moving can be. And I was DREADING moving today. In fact, I wasn’t ready for this at all when I woke up this morning! But these three gentlemen took all the stress out of the equation. Just wonderful to work with. Very sweet guys.
This is the third time in 10 years I have used FlatRate to move in NYC. And I can only say good things about every experience I’ve had with this company. HIGHLY recommended. And very reasonably priced for the superior services they provide. Five stars, hands down.

Great communication with sales, dispatch on top of moving day schedule and movers very efficient, fast and patient with other building activity that occupied elevators and that could slow down moving process

I asked the impossible and they made it all happen. In 24 hrs of me reaching out to them they packed me up and shipped me out.

Great move! Second time using FlatRate moving and once again we are extremely satisfied.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

They delivered my belongings almost TWO WEEKS LATE. Which means it took almost a MONTH to get my belongings delivered. This delayed me being able to open my business and cost me THOUSANDS of dollars of revenue!!!!!!!! Not only that, because they had my stuff for a MONTH, I had to buy doubles of a lot of my things because they had everything I owned including my newborns things.

Then, salt on the wound they tried to offer me a $375 refund for this. Simply deplorable, what a laughable amount to offer. A full refund would be appropriate since they lost me so much income as the SOLE PROVIDER for a newborn.

This company went out of their way to make our very challenging move and storage situation work out incredibly well. I am very thankful to the entire team and highly recommend.

After having a horrible experience with another moving company, I was anxious to see how things would go with Flatrate. But to my surprise, they exceeded all of my expectations from the start to the end. The moving team was accommodating, quick, efficient, and gentle with my belongings. I didn't write down names but the Jamaican man was incredible and super professional! Could not have asked for a better experience. Also shoutout to Adam for being patient and understanding during the pre-planning of the move. Flatrate please never change!! I'll be back for my next move!

Do Not Hire FlatRate Moving – A Total Disaster from Start to Finish!!!

Save yourself hours of stress, confusion, and wasted time — do not hire FlatRate Moving. From the very first interaction, this company demonstrated an astounding level of incompetence and disorganization that borders on negligence.

I hired FlatRate to manage a move from Louisville, KY to Asheville, NC, and every phase of the process — from scheduling to delivery — was a complete mess. There was no single point of contact. The job was passed around to multiple people, none of whom had a grasp on even the most basic logistics like pickup times or delivery locations. At one point, your own team couldn’t even tell me where my belongings were in the system.

Communication was abysmal. There were no updates, no automated systems, no proactive outreach. Then — nearly two weeks after pickup — I received a text message at 10:44 PM on a Sunday night, informing me that the movers would be arriving the next morning, unannounced. No warning. No courtesy call. Just a sudden drop-in, as though this level of chaos is normal for your operation.

To make matters worse, the driver spoke only Russian — no English, no Spanish — which made it impossible to communicate basic instructions or clarify anything on-site. How is a logistics company sending drivers on cross-state deliveries with no shared language and no translator or liaison?

This entire experience has been unacceptable. You are running a national moving company with all the professionalism of a fly-by-night Craigslist operation. I would strongly discourage anyone from trusting your team with their possessions — or their time.

Flat rate was my go to movers for 4 moves so. This time it seemed like a no brainer . The day of the move after arranging for the 2 buildings to have workers ready flat rate called to tell us the move needed to be pushed till the afternoon. There was no reason given . Just a “ too bad, cannot help it “
Response . We called piece of cake and got the move done exactly when it was supposed to ….. and the price was the same …… so thumbs down for flat rate . You have lost a client.

Movers are hardworking, they did a superb job!
