I would give a zero if I could. You all should know they put thru 2 unauthorized charges on my credit card and overcharged me. After many emails they finally reimbursed for the 2 unauthorized charges but so far not for the amount they overcharged me. I’ve sent numerous emails and no response from my contact or customer service.

Excellent service from start to finish. When you call you reach an actual person who returns calls, follows up, and does what he says he is going to do. The movers themselves were careful, efficient and friendly. This was our second move in NYC with FlateRate and while I hope to stay put for a while I would definitely use the company again.

The move team arrived before their expected window (such a pleasant surprise). Each member of the team was kind, efficient, and hard working! There was no damage, no dirt, and no hassle! Highly recommended

This is the second time we have used FlatRate for moving. Our first time using FlatRate was for a cross-country move from Los Angeles, CA to NYC which was a great experience. This time, we booked FlatRate again for an apartment move from Midtown to the Financial District. The sales agent who worked with us, Ming, was very friendly, communicated efficiently, and did well to accommodate our needs. Our movers, Odi and Mike, were also friendly and did an excellent job. They were efficient, careful with our boxes and furniture, and made the entire process simple and stress free (e.g., they took apart our dining table for us, wrapped it up, and then put the table back together at the new apartment).

Overall, we highly recommend FlatRate for its competitive pricing (and no hidden fees during or after the move - the price upfront will be the final cost assuming you give them an accurate listing of your belongings), great communication, and efficient and careful movers, whom we’ve used twice now. We look forward to using FlatRate again for our next move.

The experience with FlatRate was simply flawless from the beginning when I was contacted by the moving expert Ricardo. He was so patient and understanding along with being available for a phone call or text literally all the time. The movers arrived early and contacted me right away. They asked me about every item and took notes as to what I was saying which items stay or which had to go. The 4 man crew worked so quickly and efficiently that before I knew it they had finished each and every room. I would recommend FlatRate Movers to anybody because you will have a less stressful experience!

From the initial contact to schedule our move until we were settled in our new apartment FlatRate Moving was always in touch, immediately responsive and the move was seamless. We were referred by friends who have used this company for multiple moves and we would 100% refer them to anyone else.

They are kind and accommodating from start to finish. Moved with them 3 times, Bernard Smith has been our point person for each move, and every time it’s been the same consistent quality of service and attention. First time was a combine move of my now wife’s stuff to my studio and storing her furniture until we found a bigger place.

So smooth, organized and comfortable.

Things always come up in the middle of packing and on move day and these guys just make it work and have a great attitude about it.

Each moving crew was excellent.

Highly recommend them for any moving and storage needs.

Our pickup in Brooklyn was FLAWLESS. They arrived on time and were very professional and efficient, and they packed our items very securely.

The drop-off was almost perfect, with one issue. Apparently there was an internal miscommunication, and they did not give us the 24-48 hour warning that they were arriving, so we had to scramble to be ready. But once they arrived, they were extremely professional and efficient in unloading and unpacking. Only one glass out of 40+ boxes and other furniture was damaged. If I got their names correct, they were Mustafa, Hamza and Yusuf.
WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND FLATRATE.

The fifth time I’ve used Flatrate. Each time their service and professionalism are best in class.

The whole team I worked with at Flat Rate Moving was fantastic. Bernard was excellent from the sales side of things, and on the day of my move, Pablo and his team couldn’t have been better! Very impressed.

The sales team was fantastic, clearly evaluating our needs and helping us understand our options for packing, unpacking and moving overall. The moving team we were assigned (Edo and Big Mike) were 12/10. They were kind, helpful, and not a single thing was damaged in our move. Would definitely recommend FR Moving and would use them again in the future.

Shockingly poor service on my delivery. The service I have received has left me wanting to look around for other options in the future. Please do that first before using FlatRate.

Just so you are aware –

On the 11th July we received an email asking if we were ready for a delivery. My business partner, who lives very close to us both in UK and in Florida, received his crate the next day. I assumed I would be on the same delivery. Nothing. No message. Nothing.

On the 13th July, we received a message from A*** stating new delivery window of 21st July – 26th July. He kindly agreed to let me know a day and a time before that week started.

Before that week started, I stated that the only time I couldn’t make on that week would be 25th after 5p.m.

Monday 22nd – I received an message from ***m stating that delivery would be between 25th and 27th. I confirmed but reiterated my point above.
No reply to this point.

Wednesday 24th – told that delivery would be on 25th between 2p.m and 7p.m.. Confirmed my point about 5p.m. onwards but this was ignored despite chasing.

Thursday 25th 2p.m.– received an obnoxious call from Carlos (delivery manager) stating that if I didn’t accept delivery at 5p.m I would be charged for storage. I stated my points above about asking not to receive goods after 5p.m., he didn’t care. He said that is the deal, take it or leave it. He said I agreed to be in all day for the entire week - just so you all know what they expect on a delivery window week!

I called your customer services. The man stated that he would sort the problem and don’t worry, I am in the right hands. He would come straight back to me.
I called him, left a message and emailed. NOTHING. Customer ‘service’ seems a loose term over there it seems.

Thursday 25th 5p.m. – the driver calls me to state he wont be with me until 8p.m.

Thursday 25th 1040p.m. – the driver arrives with all of our crates. He doesn’t leave (not his fault – he was the only good contact I have had and certainly a step up from Carlos), until 1240p.m. We were expected to be up and check all the boxes off the list and ‘be around’ until all had been done and the bed rebuilt.

From the time I started speaking to Bernard Smith consultant I knew I was making the right choice choosing you guys for a second time.

My moves was an excellent experience they were on time and a few minutes before schedule move. I am very satisfied with my experience everything was excellent the easy going experience was exceptionally great!!! I will definitely use this company again in the future… shout out to Henry Palae and his team were awesome working together collaborating throughout the move I was very impressed with everything. Thank you so much !!!!!!!!!!

It was a really hot day for moving. Alex and his team showed up on time and moved our belongs in a highly efficient and professional way. We really appreciated and will highly recommend them. 👍🏻👍🏻

Not only was FlatRate very affordable for us, but they were so communicative, kind, and accommodating as well. In the past, we’ve had movers up our original rate or add on extra fees at the end, but this did not happen with FlatRate. Our movers showed up early to help pack and were really helpful in consolidating our items. The move was so seamless and hassle free that we finished four hours earlier than anticipated. I cannot recommend this team more highly. Thank you so much!!!
