They are charming scammers

I would sincerely warn everyone who receives so-called pre-approved loan offer with unbelievable low interest rates, should stay away from these super sweet scammers. All you need to have just common sense to realize how they drag you into a scam.

A huge scam!!

A huge scam! The lady said they prove you can't pay your debt. Most all loans are made on 24.99% Each creditor then adds a negative impact to your credit report/as negative debt settled. Called the company and I got all the info on their Flatrock Funding Company.

Thank you all for your timely comments

Thank you all for your timely comments. I made an initial call about their offer, and they agreed to contact me. After reading these truths in Trustpilot, I didn't answer the call and gave up. I wonder why they haven't been reported and prosecuted as scammers in this country.

This is a scam company

This is a scam company. Their whole objective is to get you to agree to a credit default scheme. They'll tell you they work with 60+ lenders, which might be true, but based on my personal experience, and the reviews from other people, you're not getting a loan. The flyer advertises pre-approved for a certain amount with rates as low as 5.05% APR. My results came back the next day...I was approved for a loan at $2,045 per month with a rate of 19%. I currently pay $350-$400 per month for all my credit cards. I was interested in a single payment instead of 5-6 payments. I immediately declined their offer and thanked them for their time. Then the loan specialist started saying they have a second offer to make me. They have an offer where I would pay 0% interest, over 36-48 months for $367-$416 monthly, I would not incur any new debt, and I'd save about $3,000 vs what I currently owe. I told him to give me the bad news with this plan because in my experience if it's too good to be true, it's not true. He said it's all true. I asked who I would be making payments to, my current creditors or FlatRock. He said I'd pay FlatRock and they would then pay my creditors. I asked if this was a credit default and he stuttered a bit like he didn't expect me to know about the scheme. I told him I can pay my creditors directly without crashing my credit for several years to come. He admitted my credit would take an initial hit because they would withhold payment to my creditors to seek a settlement from them, but it would come back and it shouldn't matter if I'm not looking at purchasing property in the next couple of years. It was at this point that the question from the day prior of me buying property made sense. I then said I might want to buy property or a vehicle in the next 6-12 months, I can't predict the future. He said I can buy a vehicle with bad credit and they can come repo it if they needed. He said this why laughing like he's putting me down and trying to guilt me to agree to the credit default scheme. I hung up on the guy. Their only intention is to get you to agree to a credit default scheme where you're getting harmed and they're making money. Never agree to one of these programs. If it's necessary for you, you can stop paying your creditors for the same duration, take the credit hit, and get a settlement from your creditors and you won't have to pay these companies to do the same thing you can do for free.

Misleading Mailer

Got a mailer and went to their website, which did not provide any useful information without me providing my phone number. Since I refuse to provide my phone number, I gave up.

I guess the representative Frank Dalo

I guess the representative Frank Dalo, he took my information and has not returned my calls. Possibly because I straight out told him if not approved for loan, then didn’t want to consolidate. This company sucks!!!!

Same as everyone else

Same as everyone else. Their ad says the opposite. "Your pre-approved!" Trustpilot 5.0 stars! How can they say that? They are 1 star because it doesn't go any lower.

Misleading advertising.

Misleading advertising.

They say they are rated "Great" on Trustpilot and have a 5.0 rating...but as you can see above, that's absolutely untrue.

Any company that resorts to these types of tactics are just complete scams.

No thanks!

DEFINITELY A SCAM!

Unfortunately my review is no different than the other negative reviews already posted here about this company. They definitely use these bull#%*! mailings telling you your PRE-APPROVED for a personal loan you can use pretty much however you see fit, but more so to consolidate and/or reorganize your debt at a much lower interest rate. I contacted them and they did exactly what was posted here repeatedly, VERBATIM! If you’re looking for a personal loan to help manage your debt, definitely don’t waste your time with Flatrock Funding.

If It Sounds Too Good To Be True ....

Everything sounded great right up the point that I was told I'd have to do a "planned default" on the credit accounts I was rolling into a payment program, and then Century/Flatrock would negotiate a settlement with the companies after I made my first payment to Century. And I'd be entering a legal agreement with Century to represent me to the companies I defaulted on. No thanks. I'd rather double my minimum payments and keep my credit score intact.

Absolutely a bait and switch

Absolutely a bait and switch. I called for a consolidation loan and yep, just like the other reviews, the guy claimed he sumitted my app to 60 companies and they all turned me down. Interestingly, he got responses from all '60 lenders' in about 1/2 day. Ridiculious! But they could consolidate my debt for a monthly charge for the next 3-4 years. Which will destroy your credit.
Do not do business with this dishonest company.

This program is a scam

This program is a scam, big time!
They would send you a pre-approved loan at a lower interest. Mind you I have good payments history with all my credit cards, never once late with it. Then they would tell me, oh we can't approve you at this time but we can put you in a program we're we can settle your debts and would destroy my credit score for about 5years. NO THANK YOU! DON'T let this program fool you! SCAMMERS!

Bait and Switch Scam

Bait and Switch Scam.
I have excellent payment history, but a high amount of debt. I received a pre-approved offer, which would cover all of my debts at a lower payment, so I called to inquire. I was advised that they couldn't provide a loan but would do a debt negotiation with my creditors, which would effectively close all of my accounts currently in good standing and put me into a 3 - 5 year payment plan with them when I can reasonably have all of my current accounts paid in full on my own in 3 - 5 years vs. having my debt written off which would impact my credit score for 7 years and all of my accounts would be closed, negatively impacting my DTI. Very disappointed in this bait and switch tactic to "help me out" and put me in debt to them for 3 -5 years while they destroy my credit for an additional 7 years. It was not a pre-approved loan at all - it was a total bait and switch.
