Uk flatshare are a scam through and…

Uk flatshare are a scam through and through but i have to give it them because they are super organised scammers.
This guy calling him self George Hamley calls me up and asked me if I was interested and arranges with a tenant called Tommy Day to do the virtual viewing claiming to have covid, when i accepted he sent an email with a link to pay via Collectiv and after confirmation the money had gone through he proceeds to ask for refs and payslips etc, when I asked for the full address he kept stringing me along saying the tenant was being difficult and refusing to leave and pushing moving date to another week and after that never heard from him.
Please let’s try and stop these blood suckers, conning desperate people’ hard earned cash and police don’t seem be interested in stopping this

SCAM

SCAM. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THEM.

Stole £1665 from me. They have been reported to Action Fraud and I was lucky that my bank refunded me.

They are praying on the London rental desperation - currently one room in a flatshare can go for £1000+ and get 30 enquiries a day.

They act like convincing estate agents: ask for references, arrange video viewings with current "tenants", an administrator fields your enquiry to an agent... I contacted them via the enquiry form on their website and completely forgot about it. They called me back asking what I am looking for, even did the "would you be willing to pay a bit more because we have a place that just became available" talk. They get you to send a holding deposit to what looks like a real business account, L L International, and this gets returned to you a couple days later whilst they "wait for your references". Then they send you a different account direct for the landlord. Turns out L L International is a dissolved company and, whilst the company they say they are linked to on the webiste is real since 2019, it only has micro accounts.

I wish I wasn't so rushed to secure a place to do my usual due diligence, but we live and learn.

Don't waste your time, energy and money with them. They'll get what they deserve.

SCAM.

SCAM.
Don’t trust this website. They’ll take your money and run away with it. It seems legit and they’ll come across convincing but as soon as they have your deposit you’ll never be able to get hold of them again.
Avoid at all costs
