Cii Webinar featuring Flaxmans

I attended a webinar Flaxmans held on the Cii platform. I found it most educational. The obvious experience shared between Mr. Flaxman and Mr. Wilson was astounding. They spoke concisely (although sometimes over each other) and enjoyed a little banter besides. Thoroughly enjoyable and not at all dull!

Mr Flaxman was seriously spooked and acted in panic when, after six months of waffle and procrastination by employee Mr Michael Wilson, he realised he was being asked to engage with his buddies at SRA and SIF. His article about SIF in the Solicitors Journal was supplied to me by its editor who subsequently exploded in a fit of anger and outrage on the phone as well emails probably prompted by an unhappy and worried Mr Flaxman. Smoke and fire come to mind. Looks like a conflict of interest upset the old boys network

Appeal Against Insurance Non Payment

Our insurance broker introduced us to the services of Flaxman Partners to help us appeal against non-payment of Business Interruption Insurance, in relation to Covid lockdowns two and three.
Despite initial challenges from the underwriter, Flaxman’s advised and arranged for our case to go to the Financial Ombudsman, who ruled in our favour. Our Flaxman’s case advisor, Michael Wilson was knowledgeable and efficient throughout the process and as such we were successful in our claim.
Based on this experience I would have no reservation in recommending Flaxman Partners and thank them for a professional and friendly service.

The conflict of interest was with the…

The conflict of interest was with the Solicitors Regulation Authority or The Solicitors Indemnity Fund both of which are corrupt organisations. Flaxman preferred to ditch my enquiry after several months when he realised they were worth more to him than a client. It was not a legal matter. It was a matter Flaxman specifically advertises as his specialism ie: refused insurance claims. He needs to justify his behaviour to me and not on this site

We do not recognise Mr Gillam’s remarks about the SRA or the Solicitors’ Indemnity Fund. What he says has no bearing on the services we provide.

We do not accept instructions from everyone who approaches us; we occasionally decline to act following our own initial and independent investigation. In this case, we established to everyone’s satisfaction, except Mr Gillam, that there never was a conflict of interest.

We will not engage with him further on the matter and are not obliged to further justify our position to him.

EXCELLENT PRESENTATION

I was really elated about the presentation and gathered a lot of facts regarding Policy Avoidance and can now say I am well grounded on the grounds of Policy Avoidance.

Keep up the good work.

A most interesting presentation which highlighted the modern approach of many insurers these days to wriggle out of valid claims by calling on obscure Clauses in their Insurance Policies. Many years ago when a claim was made, the first thing an insurer would say to a Client who had suffered a claim was "How can we assist you with this unfortunate matter" Now the Insurer looks for every avenue to avoid their responsibility to their Client. The CII are not much help either as they are more concerned about boosting their own image with Wokery and useless articles in their magazines. I feel for the Insurance Industry as it has lost sight of its original objectives.
Roger, please keep up your good work, you are a genuine Service and an Asset to the insuring public.

Flaxmans - a shining beacon of hope for the insurance industry

I have known and have worked with Flaxmans for some time. They are dedicated, passionate professionals, with a strategic ability to resolve claims in the most efficient way.

Flaxmans are a commercial organisation, but at the same time, they are dedicated to achieving justice and good outcomes for policyholders, as well as educating the insurance community.

Some of their educational papers and webinars are both informative, interesting and, at times (deliberately) amusing and light-hearted.

In the event of a declined claim, I would strongly recommend a conversation with Michael Wilson and/or Roger Flaxman, who will give you a straight forward opinion as to the merits of successful outcome.

They are superb advocates for the industry, and most of their work is done quietly in the background, resolving some very high-profile claims, many of which have been in the media spotlight.

Excellent Quality & Content As Always

As always despite my many years in the industry and ACII status, I am always blown away by the knowledge these guys have and the angles that they are able to look at things from. Not just the technical knowledge, but they really have the ability to deliver 'real world' interesting scenarios that they have experienced that are informative and relative. I always learn a little something extra when I take part in a Flaxmans Webinar. A class above. Many Thanks.

Excellent webinar again

As well as reminding us of the legal position, the session also looked at how the industry could move forward to avoid the pitfalls and enhance its reputation, which they are clearly passionate about.

Non disclosure webinar

Roger and his team are more than knowledgeable in their field. Roger, having been in the insurance market for many years and some, still impresses me whenever i have the need to listen to what he has to say!

Non-disclosure is one of the subjects…

Non-disclosure is one of the subjects nobody wants to address... yet when it hits very few would know how to handle efficiently to derive the best outcome for clients.
The session was very informative, the speakers were well versed in the subject and interaction with the rest of the participants was timely.
I would personally attend another session myself.

Great for students and claims professionals

An excellent 'double act' picking up on very pertinent issues with the essential benefit of 'real world' experience with protagonists. Great for students and more particularly for those in the claims world that need some reminders on the legalities and ethics.

Real world knowledge and experience, could save your bacon.

I have attended several of their webinars, and have been mightily impressed. Roger and his colleagues understand how insurers, brokers, FOS, and the law work in practice. Their responses are based on experience that must have been hard won. This can help you avoid mistakes and rescue perilous situations.
In extremis, they could just be the people you should see out.

Defence Tactics VS TCF

The Webinar on Non-Disclosure Covered issues not often discussed by the Profession - in particular it highlighted to me how the profession to an extent has under ''legal guidance'' - ''sleep walked'' into seeking voidance of contracts as a preferred approach, rather than dealing with customers fairly following innocent mistakes.
