Ideal piano course for adults - I appreciate features such as separate hand practice, wait mode and video above sheet music, indicating notes to be played. The range of songs is fab. As an adult who’s... See more

Excellent app we use it for my son…
Excellent app we use it for my son who’s 9. The only constructive feedback I can offer is to find a way to have the keys heard more clearly during wait mode. He gets a bit frustrated when the songs lag because the keys are not recognized. Otherwise I have referred several friends to this app and intend on staying with this program for as long as he’s learning! Affordable price for the year also!!

The best (piano) app there is
The best (piano) app there is. I use it dialy now for five years. It really helped me learn to play piano. At the age of 54 I started and I play every day with Flowkey as my teacher. Flowkey offers so much music and the way it teaches you to play is perfect. Because of the various levels from easy to pro, often available for the same piece of music, Flowkey is suitable for everyone.

It’s an amazing app using technology and a positive way. I recommended 100%.
I like the variety of genre's
I like the variety of genre's. pretty good selection. Wish there were more new releases of current music. There is no country music. Many of my favorite songs disappeared as the licensing expired. Many songs have only advanced or pro options which is way beyond my ability. I always look forward to the new releases, but then am disappointed with the songs.

The app is very user-friendly
The app is very user-friendly, and its integration with Yamaha Stream Lights was a major factor in my decision to continue my subscription.
One feature I’d love to see is the ability to display recommended fingering numbers above the notes—this would be especially helpful for beginners.
Currently, the app allows playback at 50% and 75% speed when practicing with a single hand. However, 100% speed is only available in “wait mode” or when using both hands. It would be great to have the option to hear the other hand at full speed even outside of wait mode.
EDIT: I realized that this is possible when the app is in "full screen mode" (oriented vertically), but does not seem to be possible when oriented horizontally.
Relearning Piano!
I am relearning piano on a full size keyboard (gave my piano to my granddaughters). Flowkey is a tremendous help since I can hear the music, play along with the notes with sound or not; work on a few measures at a time; etc! I love that it gives different versions of the songs, beginner, intermediate, etc. I'm also pleased with the variety of music, including classical which is what I learned on for the 8 years I took piano. Best of all, I can now turn my iPad vertical to see more of the score while playing instead of just a line of music. Keep up the good work on this fabulous piano app!
Excellent simple steps to real piano playing
As a self taught piano player of many years I have finally the time to learn properly and it's such fun!
Flowkey is easy to navigate and has clear simple instructions.
I particularly like it's single hand function where you can perfect one hand before joining two together.
I progressed quickly but now and progressively improving.
My only reason for no 5 stars is that on regular occasions the system freezes. We checked and it's not our internet but we believe it's when the USAwakes up and system is busier!

Decent program but midway through they just deleted half of the songs and offered no explanation. Expensive for having so many features cut

Great experience
What makes the experience great is that variety of supports on the site.
Quite uninspiring and unreliable.
I received 3 months free with my keyboard. Much of this was spent trying to get the software to work, I ended up buying a new tablet as it was not compatible with any of my devices. Even now it is not completely reliable.
Once working I did make some quick progress with it, progressing from beginner to playing tunes slowly with two hands, so decided to subscribe for a further year. Having done so I have made very little progress. Further lessons are to difficult for me and I have become bored with the ones I have already completed. I find the tutorial style very dull and uninspiring and have now given up trying.

Complete beginner …10 months in and playing tunes
I’d never played the piano before and find it easy to follow the lessons and think it’s really good to be able to play a song so early in the learning stage , keeps me motivated ,😀
Amazing piano learning app
The app is amazing - covers everything I want. Multiple tunes in all genres with multiple ability levels, right hand/left hand/both hand playing, select sections to rework, hear a professional play the tunes. I could go on but, suffice it to say, the app is hugely versatile.
The support team are wonderful and and query is clearly responded to within 24 hours (max) with a follow-up later to check all is OK.
All absolutely great.
great app to learn or get back in the game
great app to learn to play, or - like for me - get back in the game. After reviewing options I went with flowkey and never regretted my choice
Supports breaking down learning into…
Supports breaking down learning into small parts.
I would like to see a wider range of beginner level popular tunes, to reach all tastes and ages.

I’m learning to play the piano
I’m learning to play the piano. I’ve only ever used flowkey, no other lessons. It’s enjoyable and I learn at my own pace. I’m trying tunes at the advanced level now although I find I’m quite slow, but I persist. I’ve been playing for about four years, just a bit most days. My left hand gets a bit sore if I do to much, but then I’m 72 so no surprise there.
Fine in principle.
Just as long as the technology works, the app is mostly fine. Though sometimes it has quirks. But it does need the right browser (eg not Safari, so I had to download Chrome) and a MIDI wire connection to my laptop. I am making slow progress due to being old.

Good but not great
I really like the way the screen scrolls when you play so there is no fumbling about trying to get onto the next bit - great when you are starting out. However, not so keen that there are some pieces of music where the stretch is too far for me and there are no alternatives. I would also like a metronome function. The lessons are very limited.

Nice training program and available music
Training options seems to me ok. Of course you have to spend a lot of time by yourself for learning.
Availability of music is good. I like pop-rock and also film music. The offer is very nice. Of course, even more pop-rock related music preferred.
I'am now use Flowkey for 4 month
