Everything related to the tests was done professionally, took a star off because the food didn't have much of authentic flavours and some night staff did not care about you trying to get some sleep.

no regrets
I don’t have any regrets doing flucamp, maybe because I ended up not feeling unwell at all despite being infected with the flu. But even if I ended up falling unwell, the staff were really great & caring, the food was great, and I loved the unlimited snacks. After a few days I did get quite bored and a little claustrophobic, but for what it’s worth i’d do it three times a year if i could. I didn’t feel trapped, because they make it clear that you could leave whenever you’d like and still get paid for the days you’ve done. And you’re welcome to bring some decor to make your room a bit more homey. The economic boost is just what I needed and the staff seem to genuinely care for your wellbeing. thanks flu camp !!

Overall fantastic experience
Overall fantastic experience, very mild symptoms, all payments made on time, great communication. Food could have been better but my feedback has been taken so hopefully will be improved in future. Definitely worth it for the money.

Overall was a pleasant experience
Enrolment team were unorganised and I had to chase a lot and was messed around with booking the trial, however once finalised and attended the trial the staff there were very helpful, super friendly and carried out any requests that were asked of them, the food was nice and the staff during the quarantine definitely made up for the negative experience at the beginning, I would highly recommend to anybody thinking of doing a trial.

Good experience
I did a 10 day flu camp and it was a good experience. I didn’t even get particularly unwell, just a sore throat. And the facilities were very nice, more like a hotel room than a hospital room. The food was good and there were plenty of snacks provided. I would definitely recommend doing a flu camp.

Great experience and amazing staff
I had a great experience all the way through.
When I was staying at the facility I felt I was well looked after and that my welfare was taken seriously. The staff couldn't be lovelier especially Marina.
I think participants might find it takes a bit of getting used to being observed this much but it is necessary and the staff make sure you're comfortable and feel at home. The food is really healthy but I enjoyed it
The only drawback for me was not having a window in my room but that couldn't be helped because of the way it's laid out and to be honest it didn't ruin my experience at all.

Won't accept asthma sufferers.
Won't accept asthma sufferers.
Even though they run asthma trials, they do not accept people who use their medication daily as recommended by doctors.

I found the process really…
I found the process really straightforward from start to finish. You need to be flexible as there are quite a few lead up appointments to quarantine but all are compensated promptly. My quarantine stay went smoothly and I was fed well! Definitely bring things to keep yourself occupied. Do bring earphones/earplugs for night time if you are a light sleeper as depending on what room your in you can hear the doors opening and closing during the night. Staff are super attentive and friendly. Nothings too much trouble.
Overall I felt really informed and safe throughout the trial. Would definitely do it again!

Overall bad experience
From taking bloods to second screen easy and no hassle, very straight forward. But from second screen to invite to quarantine no good. I was originally told my second screen was sucesfull then it wasn't due to my blood results. Was advised over phone I needed a repeat to confirm results but due to time constraints coudnt go into quarantine I originally selected so was excluded.
One hour later I spoke to the same advisor who now informed me I was de-excluded as the repeat blood could be done when I entered quarantine. Great very happy! Was told I would get a phone call off the Doctor on Thursday to discuss my blood results and also be formally invited to FluCamp on Friday. Thursday came no call off the doctors, rang up no answer. Friday came no phone call from doctor and no invitation to quarantine. Rang up again had to wait hours and hours ( three days before my potential admittance in quartine) to be told I now needed a repeat blood. The person I originally spoke to clearly hadn't updated my notes. Due to this they some how had "courier problems and my files coudnt be transfered over quick enough" basically the files wouldn't of been transfered to London as I wasn't scheduled to go as the advisor didn't update my notes.
So I'm now without a quartine date, and also concerned about some blood results that I've had no feedback on. Overall bad experience. Not sure how these guys run clinical trials seem very disorganised.

I had an overall positive experience
I had an overall positive experience at Flucamp. It’s a hard one to rate as I did get quite sick, but that’s what I signed up for. The staff were great and the facilities were comfortable. Food wasn’t the best in terms of taste, and it takes some getting used to in terms of the testing and being observed a lot.

Ask about what type of trial your put on
Everything was going well, did my first screening all good bar the women struggling to get my blood until the second attempt. Come to my second one & everything was good, breathing, heart etc is all perfect. bar they couldn’t get my bloods - Again!
To be told by the doctor (who was lovely) that the trial they’d put me on needed 15 odd tubes of blood just on vaccination visits and therefore I wasn’t eligible as my veins aren’t good enough. Could have told them that on the first visit, shame the nurse taking my initial bloods didnt note it.
The doctor has advised they do a trial which doesn't require much blood, so I will await for that to come up again.

Very much worth it
Flucamp went really well for me, the stay was very relaxed and I didn’t feel to isolated since the staff were really great; on top of that I didn’t have any symptoms! The food was pretty varied and the payout is brilliant! Really great way to make some money

FluCamp Clinical Trial Experience
I recently participated in a clinical trial at FluCamp, and I must say it was a positive experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how well-informed and caring the staff were. They took the time to explain every aspect of the trial, which helped ease any concerns I had.
One of the highlights of my stay was the excellent provision of snacks and main meals. Not only were the meals nutritious and well-prepared, but the availability of snacks throughout the day was a welcome surprise. It made the whole experience much more comfortable.
The entertainment options were also a pleasant surprise. Having access to a TV and a PS4 during my stay provided a great way to pass the time and relax between appointments and observations. It made the entire experience feel less clinical and more like a comfortable stay.
Overall, my time at FluCamp was well-organized, and I felt well taken care of by the staff. Their attention to detail, along with the comfort and amenities provided, made participating in the clinical trial a positive and even enjoyable experience. I would not hesitate to recommend FluCamp to others considering participating in clinical trials.

Experience was as good as it could be
Experience was as good as it could be. The nurses and staff are all friendly and make sure you've got enough snacks and drinks.
You get a few games to play on PS4 but can watch netflix etc. The staff pop in when they need a sample of sorts. Food is good and varied. Only thing I'd wish for is that you were given a slightly more specific time for when the nurses would come in, but can appreciate these may not be consistent. The whole process is really simple but I'd warn people that sometimes studies get delayed so you need to go back to the clinic to give samples again, sometimes multiple times, which can be expensive.
The pay is good and the alone time isn't as boring as you might expect and is over very quickly!
Anna and Ben (Senior nurse, but not sure if that's your name! Sorry!) were always very friendly and made the whole experience easier.
