When I first contacted FlyinBudget
When I first contacted FlyinBudget, my experience with customer service was excellent. The representative was very polite, patient, and responsive. I took almost a week to finalize my booking, asking daily if any flights were available within my budget and preferred dates. His communication during this phase was so good that I was ready to give 5 stars at that point.
I’m an influencer and content creator, and I clearly told him that if this turned out to be a fraud, I would share it publicly. Based on his professionalism, I trusted him completely and didn’t double-check many things myself — which turned out to be a mistake.
Before booking, I specifically asked:
Whether the flights were connecting
Whether I would need to transfer luggage myself
About seat selection for me and my husband
I was told:
No need to worry about luggage transfer
Seat selection is free and opens 2 days before departure
However, things went downhill after payment was made.
Issues faced:
Two days before departure, I kept chasing for seat booking updates and was repeatedly told it wasn’t possible.
On the day of travel, I was suddenly told seat booking is paid (£35) — even though online it was showing cheaper.
No seats were booked for us, and automatic seat allocation separated me and my husband.
At Delhi Airport, we discovered it was self check-in, and we had to collect and re-check luggage ourselves, which we were never informed about.
Due to a flight delay, we almost missed our connecting flight, and Air India staff initially refused boarding.
We were put on another flight and reached the final destination very late.
Our taxi driver waited over 3 hours, and we had to pay extra parking charges.
On the return journey, the same issues happened again:
No proper connecting flight handling
Self check-in again
Luggage transfer by ourselves
No seat selection booked on any flight
Final Thoughts:
The effort before booking was appreciated, but after payment, there was no proper support or care. From departure to return, we were on our own.
I strongly feel that if I had booked the flights myself, I would have:
Known about self check-in
Understood connecting flight risks
Chosen seats properly
Avoided unnecessary stress and extra costs
Recommendation:
I do not recommend booking through third-party agents like this. It’s better to book yourself so you are fully aware of what you’re getting and avoid last-minute surprises.

That said, we acknowledge that clearer communication regarding these airline procedures would have helped set better expectations, and we regret the inconvenience and stress this situation caused.
