Worst airline ever

Worst airline ever, we travelled 2 times n both the times they stopped us from boarding saying our payment was fake or a scam or we didnt used appropriate visa for payment even though we booked from our own card n through their website, due to which they charged us twice on spot, we did got the money back though but not the compensation and when we called them to resolve this issue they were extremely rude as well(dont remember the name of the guy who spoke with us) but would never recommend porter to anyone.

Customer DISservice

Customer service, what’s that? When you get the pleasure of encountering Porter employees on the ground, don’t be surprised by the coldness of their service. The only help you’ll get from them is the suggestion that you’ll just have to pay for another ticket again due to errors not within your control. Empathy? Understanding? Warmth? You’re just a money machine to be milked. No real service. Retraining for customer facing employees sorely needed.

Porter points worth nothing.

Porter points worth nothing.
If you can't fly for 2 years due to health issues or financial situation, they take your points away. So unless you are rich and can afford to always travel, forget the points as they will take them away regardless of how long you have been an active customer.
At least Air Canada gives you other options to keep your points.
Porter may give you a drink but that is all you are going to get!!!!

I hope the supervisor/manager reads this. I flew from The Bahamas to Toronto on flight PD776 on Sunday April 5th. I do not know the stewards name, a handsome brown guy, He was professional, friendly and amazing! This was my first trip with Porter airlines and he made it extraordinary! Apart from his amazing service, the seats are spacious and not crammed up like WJ. My overall experience was wonderful. I will be flying with them again.

High quality and personable service

My wife and I recently flew return on Porter from Edmonton to Ottawa.(March 26 and 30)These was our first flights on Porter and we are most pleased with our experience and the great staff you employ.
In particular we were super impressed with the service and support provided on two occasions in Edmonton by gate agent Sun Woo Goo. He completed our check ins with a pleasant tone and a smile. He arranged for a wheelchair for me and walked us to the plane when boarding. On the return to Edmonton we were again met by him at the plane door and he wheeled us to the baggage area, retrieved our bags after finding an empty wheelchair for my wife to sit in while waiting for the baggage. He then helped us to the van waiting for us and loaded our luggage.
This young man is to be commended for his attention to the needs of Porter customers. He is definitely the reason we will fly Porter again!

I had the best flight ever from Toronto…

I had the best flight ever from Toronto to Calgary! Service was impeccable, Greg was on point and so very helpful! I had lost one of my ear buds and he rescued it for me from the flying ear bud eating dragon. Best service, clean, and efficient. Thank you Greg for making my flight home fantastic!

Thank you Zakiya, San Francisco airport employee

I have mobility issues which makes sitting in a window seat difficult. My flight from San Francisco to Toronto was full, however Zakiya Faro, at the San Francisco airport went above and beyond to find me an aisle seat making my trip far less uncomfortable. Thank you Zakiya!

Porter Airlines - an insult to anyone who works as a Porter

A third-class company that survives because it has some profitable routes across the border. Otherwise, a company with the usual bottom-feeder, get-rich-quick, snake oil salesman philosophy.
I had booked a BOS-YTZ flight on Feb 23, which Porter cancelled. This jeopardized everything for me. I had booked the flight through Agoda (another fourth-rate, bottom-feeder, fly-by-the-night operator) and paid Porter directly for the first checked-in bag.
Now, Agoda has been telling me for 6 weeks that they are communicating with Porter to refund the money using Pigeons, Overland Telegraph, and Steamships. But they can't afford paper and ink to write messages quick enough. Porter isn't doing anything: see no evil, hear no evil, play dumb, we got the money. Porter is NOT even refunding the money that they received directly from me!
If this wasn't enough, DOT-OCAP has given them 60 days to resolve this, and the Canadian Regulatory Authority requires a 30-day waiting period.
So, between all these multinational and government bulls, what can a consumer do? Just write this review to advise fellow passengers to boycott both Porter and Agoda - now and forever.

No Zone boarding!

Unlike other reviewers, I would pick Porter over Air Canada/westjet every time for within-Canada travel. The biggest reason is that they don’t do that ridiculous zone boarding. They board the back seats first, WHICH MAKES THE UTMOST SENSE. No waiting at the front for people to fit bags in and get to their seats; every Porter flight I’ve been on has left on time. Snacks are on par with other Canadian airlines. Free wifi, all around better experience than I’ve had with air Canada.

Had a very bad experience with them

Had a very bad experience with them. I was travelling from Vancouver to Ottawa they didn’t serve me the snack at first and when they came for the second time for drinks. I asked them for a diet coke and the staff didn’t gave me anything, when I ringed the bell the other staff said they will come back shorty but they never came back, had a terrible experience with porter airline.

Flight Calgary to Toronto @12:40pm is…

Flight Calgary to Toronto @12:40pm is delayed but they expected people to be here at the original check in time. The flight is delayed by 4 hrs so far, they keep on sending revised schedule, we were here way before the original flight time 12:40pm but slightly late to the original checkin time because since the flight was delayed we anticipate few minutes delay on check in as well. There is no one at the desks, and when we call although the flight was delayed from the get go but the answer you get it is you missed the checkin time so no one will help you. They told us to book for next day at a cost of $3600 for 2 adults & 2 children. No sympathy at all. It is now 5hrs since we arrived at their checkin, the flight is still here. The worst experience we ever had & their client service have no courtesy & sympathy. We will rebook with other airlines & never fligh with porter ever.

Excellent & unexpected customer service

I just want to acknowledge a porter staff member in Vancouver named Chris who really stepped up and helped me out big time last week. We had our annual family ski trip and after driving nearly 4 hours to Sun Peaks I realized we left 2 ski boot bags at the terminal.
After contacting Porter and the Vancouver airport & explaining the situation, Chris managed to get the bags on a (competitor) Air Canada flight to the Kamloops that same night (and at no charge either) so I was able to pick them up the next day with only a half hour drive. That made a huge difference in what otherwise would've been a lost day of our vaycay… and to me that was genuine customer service! Thanks Chris!!

Bathrooms are consistently disgusting

I think I'm done with Porter. It is cheap and they are offering more direct flights to compare to Air Canada but the bathrooms consistently do not get cleaned. The bathrooms have to fend for themselves on the 4.5 hr flights to and from Phoenix. It's unfortunate.

We flew with Porter Airlines twice for…

We flew with Porter Airlines twice for our Toronto - Chicago - Toronto trips, making it four flights in total. Our first experience was excellent - the flight was on time, comfortable, the staff was very friendly, and we enjoyed the small snack. For our second trip, we specifically looked for Porter flights again. However, on the return leg from Chicago to Toronto, we ran into some trouble and missed our flight. Although the pilot couldn't let us on anymore, the staff was incredibly helpful. The kind ladies at the boarding gate rebooked us for free onto a flight the next day, and we made it home safely. We will definitely choose Porter whenever possible.

Nice flight!

The two flight attendants on flight PD2639 at 5:30 were genuinely kind and caring. Their warmth and sincerity really stood out.
At one point I accidentally spilled my drink, and the staff handled it with such professionalism that they didn’t make me feel embarrassed at all. I also noticed how thoughtfully the one attendant spoke with a family traveling with infants. The staff were patient, caring, and truly sincere. Impressed!

It’s little things like these that make a flight feel comfortable and welcoming. Thank you for the wonderful service. 👍
