Unprofessional and unfinished floor installation
Back in October 2025, FM Joinery completed an unprofessional floor fitting at our tenement in Glasgow.
I was already aware that the job was unfinished due to the gaps in the beading, the unmitred corners, and the absence of any thresholds. However, I have since sought two professional opinions from other joiners and floorers, and they have highlighted much larger issues.
I am happy to provide photos and manufacturer instructions, where you will be able to see a significant number of the joints in both rooms are set incorrectly and much too close to one another. This compromises the entire installation. I have been advised that to fix these joints and achieve a professional finish, the entire floor will need to be taken up and new flooring purchased.
As a result the floor was fitted incorrectly and left unfinished.
I have tried to contact the company about this standard of work and unfinished job, but I have heard nothing back at all.
