I have been there because of the name…

I have been there because of the name FIFA. I have pain in the knee since 1 week and it's also blown (i'm a basketball player and i go 2 or 3 times per year to kine in my country). I wanted to know why i have pain so I have called their center to take appointment. After the call, they didn't tell me whith whom and they said they will send a textmessage to confirm appointment. Textmessage that i never received... So 2 days later, i contacted again and again they told me i'll receive a text message and still i didn't get it. I had to phone again to finaly know my appointment is confirmed.

I arrived to their medical center at 2h20pm... they were 30 minuts late (yes in dubai 30 min late is not common), finaly after the doctor came. I told him i have pain in the back of the knee, he checked around 30 seconds and said : Your knee is fragile compared to the other one. After about 2 minuts, he showed me their private gym and told me : You need to do 10 sessions minimum... i'm not a kine but... i know that to advice to do gym and to train your knee while you knee is paintfull and blown is not recommanded... in general, a kine does massage, put cream and sometimes tens (electricity) and in best case, they make excercices with you but very light and never on machines.

So i told him, is it possible to first unblow it, at least ? He said : Yes but you need first to Make an x-ray in hospital and we have to evaluate the strengh of your knees on speciale machines (in their center), they asked me if i have my sport shoes with me (of course the receptionnist, after forgetting sending me the text message twice, also forgoten to mention you need sport shoes....) I had difficulties to walk, very paintful so i was in sleepers when i came and to be honnest, i didn't expect i'll need my sport shoes, am i going to the gym or to cure my knee ?

To summarise my experience, i faced a receptionnist that was not skilled compared to other medical centers in Dubai and i met a kine that was more interested to sell me his 10 sessions on his machines than to take a little time to fix my knee. They just told me to go to hospital for a x-ray and to asked me just after when i can start the session on their machines. They charged me 500 aed for this and I still don't know what i have, they even didn't put any cream and of course i still have pain.

In conclusion, if you have body pain somewhere, avoid their centre because you'll waste your time.
