FMG Repair Services, Hull
My repair was done at FMG Repair Services, Hull. It took from 3rd December until 24th February, but that was through no fault of theirs - Jaguar has suffered their cyber attack and had to shut down, so various parts were unavailable until February.
FMG kept me up to date with regular text messages. When I eventually collected the car it has not only been expertly repaired but also valeted inside and out and it was like collecting a new car!
Highly recommended at this site.
FMG Hereford - excellent all round
FMG Hereford - excellent all round. My Kia E-Niro was badly damaged when an unknown driver hit it on a snowy night. Tesco Insurance took 6 long weeks to get my car into repair, but once in FMG Hereford's hands service was faultless. Vicky in customer service was brilliant, so helpful, organised and proactively in touch. Courtesy car delivery chap prompt, friendly and helpful. The car repairs were done quickly and perfectly, with workshop contacting me when queries arose. Thank goodness for FMG Hereford. Thanks to all.
FMG Cambridge
I’m really pleased with the quality of the repair work carried out on my car — the finish is fantastic and the standard of workmanship is clear to see. The vehicle looks great, and I can’t fault the actual repair itself.
However, communication throughout the process could definitely be improved. I regularly had to chase for updates, and on a few occasions I was promised a call back that never came. It would have made a big difference to receive proactive updates and a clearer estimated completion date.
Overall, excellent repair quality, but the customer communication side needs some work.
Don't recommend,
1. Took over 1 month to get a courtesy car from them
2. Took a month to fix the car after being told it would take 2 weeks
3. Car wasn't safe to drive once we got it back as they put 2 new tyres on the right side, making the car shake when it breaked.
4. They said they would charge us for moving the tyres....to make the car safe to drive
Don't recommend. Use any other garage
Poor repairs fmg Guildford
The good point the drivers that collect your car very nice Sam was very helpful responding to email straight away any problems was sorted out now the bad part car went in for bumper respray has it matte paint any small mark need a respray to blend in the car has more stone chips than when it went in the fact my car was taken on a joy ride to Milton Keynes didn't help can't deny it the app tell me should have delivered back straight away when the work was done tusker have been informed of this avoid at all costs they will take your car repair it then have a ride around in it bang out of order clearly don't give a monkeys about customers cars avoid avoid avoid
Avoid the Harrogate garage.
If you have a problem and want it sorted quickly in the Harrogate catchment area, do not go through these guys. Took 2 weeks for the repairs to be done, minor incident with the steering. Would have been a few days with my local garage or less with the dealership garage, but insurance insisted on this place. Got it back, and it then failed the steering on the vehicle health check.

Great service from start to finish
Great service from start to finish. The staff is very professional and friendly. They kept me updated at all times and completed the repair before the date I was told. I appreciated that my car was picked up and dropped off as well as recieving a courtesy car.
Havant branch
Havant branch - did a great job on my bumper. Looks like new. Very friendly customer service, brilliant courtesy car, and got the job completed quicker than expected. Thank you.
I couldn’t be happier with their service…
I couldn’t be happier with the service from FMG Repair Services in Barnstaple. From start to finish, the customer support was exceptional. Jayne was friendly, helpful, and kept in contact throughout the entire process, making everything feel effortless. The manager, Marius, was equally impressive—professional, reassuring, and clearly committed to delivering a top‑quality service.
FMG went above and beyond, they even leant me a vehicle to use whilst mine was repaired. I have never seen my car looking so good!! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing reliable repair services. Truly a 5‑star experience.

Fabulous experience
After my paintwork on my car was damaged it went to FMG in Hull for repair. The service was faultless from the high level of customer service through to the repair work itself. I had regular updates in my cars progress and they collected my car (about 1hr away) and dropped it back, the lad who picked it up was also extremely polite and friendly. My car came back like new! All clean inside and out. The customer service team couldn’t have been more helpful. Fantastic experience all round.
If I could give minus stars, I would
My vehicle was passed to FMG / Steer Prestige following a very minor accident (around 6 mph) on 13 January 2026. More than a month later, my car has still not even reached the workshop, and I have received no meaningful progress or committed repair timeline.
Communication has consisted almost entirely of automated weekly messages stating that the vehicle is still delayed in storage. There has been no ownership, no urgency, and no proactive effort to resolve what should have been a straightforward repair.
For the first month, I was provided with a petrol courtesy car, despite my vehicle being an electric (Tesla) which was unsuitable for my daily usage. After a month, this was replaced with an electric vehicle, however, it is significantly lower in range and capability than my own car. As a result, I can no longer complete my 100-mile daily commute without having to stop and charge after work, adding further time and disruption. Instead of driving straight home, I am now forced to plan charging stops every day.
I have also been informed verbally that replacing a bumper alone could take up to THREE MONTHS, which is wholly unreasonable.
This experience has caused unnecessary stress and disruption and reflects poorly on the standards expected from a fleet-level repair provider. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to be cautious.
I hope I'll never get to use this garage ever again!
Serious Failures
Serious Failures, Missing Faults, and Unacceptable Handling of My Vehicle
My vehicle was in and out of FMG for several months for repairs that my local independent garage confirmed they could complete within a week. Despite the extended time FMG had access to the vehicle, they failed to identify or disclose several major issues.
At no point — in any conversation, email, or repair quotation — did FMG ever mention the 42 system faults, the headlight fault, the front camera fault, or any of the associated lighting issues (running light and indicator). None of these faults were acknowledged, documented, or represented in any quotation they provided. These issues were only discovered when my own garage scanned the vehicle, which raises serious concerns about FMG’s competence and their duty of care.
The vehicle was returned to me twice in an unacceptable condition. On the first return, the rear TVs had been opened and used without permission. On the second return, the vehicle arrived late and the headlight washer covers were missing from the bumper. These issues demonstrate poor workmanship and inadequate quality control.
FMG also provided a courtesy car that was unsuitable for my health needs, leaving me unable to drive safely after dusk. This directly impacted my ability to work as a self‑employed estate agent and contributed to significant stress. The situation has had a debilitating effect on my health, and I have been unable to leave the house for over a week as a direct result.
Based on my experience, FMG’s handling of my vehicle, their investigation, and their communication fell far below any reasonable professional standard.
My vehicle was involved in a head on…
My vehicle was involved in a head on collision, due to the other party being on another planet. FMG did a great job on the repairs, and were kind and courteous. Couple of glitches afterwards, but to say how bad the vehicle was, that is fine. They sorted it all out.
It was Nottingham, but the drop down list will not let me choose this branch.
