Great book
I am a collector of mountaineering books and was thrilled to add this to my collection . Very well done and arrived in perfect order .
Among the best that I have read
Very good! No complaints.
Super book
A unique publication,an asset for my library!
There's really nothing new in this book, but the presentation is first-class and this is probably the first time that many of the photos have been published with such clear definition. The fold-out panoramas are great.
Extremely high quality book
Excellent edition of a superb book.
A summit for a book
Time travel... pure and simple... Once upon a time, my younger self has taken photographs of sunset on Mt. Everest... it was an adventure.... This books is a delight to read for anyone, who loves to dream about the era, where all of those spectacular locations were actually off the map, and the sense of adventure was unmatched.... Thank you very much for putting it all together into this beautifully produced volume.
A Beautiful and Historic Book, Top Quality and brilliant service from Folio
Excellent book, excellently produced. But too expensive.
Interesting commentary and beautiful photographs make this an enduring classic.
Gorgeous volumes with very nice photo reproductions.
Nice presentation. Great photos
Bought as a birthday present for my brother-in-law. The quality of the books was, as always, impeccable and he was delighted with them.
The two volume set included a photographic portfolio which was quite stunning with sublime and evocative images. The text, covering the early attempts conveyed the sometimes foolhardy, often brave, and generally harrowing stories, contrasting totally with what are almost now just the climbs by rich tourists.
