They broke my camera whilst replacing the battery. They didnt take responsibility. I had the phone for 4 years and the camera stop working just after replacing the battery. Please avoid this shop.
I am leaving this review to warn others about my experience with Fone World Reading.
I paid for what I was clearly told would be a genuine original replacement screen. After the repair, the fingerprint sensor stopped working and the phone did not behave normally. When I raised this with the shop, I was told it was “just one of those things”.
After a lengthy email exchange, they eventually agreed to refund me.
I then took the phone straight to another repair shop for a replacement screen. They confirmed that the screen previously fitted by Fone World Reading was not a genuine original part and showed me that the fingerprint sensor had been taped back into place, which they said was very likely to cause failure.
They replaced it with a genuine original screen and everything now works perfectly. They also returned the old screen to me and confirmed it was not genuine.
Charging for a genuine part but fitting a non-genuine one instead is misleading and dishonest. I am writing this review so that others can make an informed decision before using this shop.
