Not useful, problem canceling subscription
There is no ready option to cancel this subscription. It is even set to auto renewal and there is no option to opt out of this in your profile. There's not even an option to report this company. Sort seems they're just set up to debit you regularly, which makes it like a fraudulent pondicherry scheme.
They only lost me money
They only lost me money. They recommended stocks that were highly overvalued—trading at 80 times earnings per share—and the moment the market corrected, they all halved in price, costing me half my investment. Even if I were to wait around for years, maybe those stocks could recover—but who knows? No intelligent long-term investor recommends buying stocks that are so overvalued. I regret trusting them. They never apologize for their recommendations; they just keep charging new, innocent victims for promoting bad stocks. I can list everything they recommended—it's embarrassing.
The site is just a large marketing…
The site is just a large marketing gimmick. You pay a fee for stock tips and then receive up to 10 to 15 e-mails a week asking you to sign up for additional pay services. Really boorish stuff, like "this AI stock is the next NVIDIA" and unsurprisingly, you have to pay even more to find out what it is. They make their website purposefully hard to navigate so that you cannot cancel your membership easily. Avoid at all costs.
Motley Fool is a scam
Motley Fool is a scam. They advertise free stock picks just to try to get you to pay for a subscription. Also, their stock picks are often very bad.
The only horrible decisions I have made…
The only horrible decisions I have made about stock buying are as a result of paying for Motley Fool's advice. I am still sitting with those losses, waiting to unload them. Look at PE's, do research.
Don’t put your details in
Don’t put your details in, I’m getting 20 calls a day it’s driving me crazy and I only put my email in , this is definitely an invitation of privacy and I will be taking this further, absolutely disgusting company
I won't recommend this platform even…
I won't recommend this platform even for my worst enemy. This platform scams people and I almost lost my money if not for the help of the company in my profile picture.
Your commentary on Palantir is way off…
Your commentary on Palantir is way off base. The federal government is cutting fraud, abuse, and misallocated use of funds. The state department/military will be relying more on high tech to defend our country. Palantir is a leading AI company with regard to national defense. No cutting in this area. Plus, Palantir has enhanced its share of business in the private sector recently.
Don't trust them
Using top tips from the paid for subscription service a few years ago and ensuring I act promptly upon posting, I have lost thousands of pounds with their recommendations. I have held onto these stocks in the hope that they will rebound but after 3 years, ALL of them are in high double figure deficit and 4 of them have even gone bust - losing me all my investment!
Don't trust a word they say!
Delighted i was able to get back my…
Delighted i was able to get back my stolen money after i stumbled on the the army intervention company written in black and white close to my name. I can't express how grateful i am for stumbling upon.
i won't stop till everyone gets a quick help intervention from frauds.
I Regret it
I have paid for its service for a year. What i can say is that they mostly suggest you to buy, buy and buy, but often their recommendations are losing money, even it's in a bull market like 2024. What i regret most is not paying for their service, but believing their advice.
I should have researched this company…
I should have researched this company on Trust pilot, but as I didn't its cost me 100 quid.
They offer an alleged free trial, which basically gets you not much more than a login. At that point they tempt you to upgrade , which then charges you a years subscription with no chance of refund.
The service they offer is poor in all fairness, so I would not recommend compared to others I use.
Realising how the scam works, I immediately tried to cancel my subscription but there is no way to do this.
You have been had !!! You are the fool. !
These people bait you
These people bait you. You can get onboard for a low entry fee which is refundable. After that prompts will come saying that you entry fee will become a credit if you go through to the higher level. If you take the bait the 30 refund policy will again become a credit. NO REFUND You realize you have been fooled by Motley fool. What do you do with the credit if you want to exit?
May be that is why they are called Motly fool. In a sense their name in a disclaimer.
Their raccomendation are often wrong
Their recommendation are often wrong. I bought some shares with their suggestion and after some years the majority of them are very low.
I would avoid.
I think they’re just clickbait in cahoots with yahoo. Whatever the fools recommend, do the opposite and you will do better! Best to avoid them all together and do your own due diligence.
Pay a lot to be asked time and time…
Pay a lot to be asked time and time again for more for better and better stocks and advice, don’t do it.
Beware of the Hype – Motley Fool is All Marketing, No Results
I’ve given Motley Fool a fair shot, tracking their recommendations over time, and the results have been disappointing—random at best. Here’s why I’d advise others to steer clear:
1. Overpromise, Underdeliver – Their marketing is slick, filled with big claims about market-beating stock picks. In reality, their recommendations don’t live up to the hype.
2. Unreliable Performance – The results I’ve tracked have been no better than throwing darts at a board. Their so-called “expert picks” often perform no better than random chance.
3. Relentless Advertising – Every time I see a Motley Fool post, it’s always an ad—never genuine insights or valuable content. They focus more on selling subscriptions than delivering results.
4. Time Waster – Following their advice has proven to be more of a distraction than a benefit. The effort spent sifting through their stock picks could be better used on independent research.
Bottom Line
Motley Fool excels at marketing but falls short on delivering meaningful investment value. I now ignore their posts entirely and recommend others do the same to avoid wasting time and money.
Boy was I stupid
Boy was I stupid. I talked my wife into letting me spend $1499 on MF Blast Off 2021. What a dreadful mistake. One year later I was down 75%. Today (4 years later) their picks are still nearly same price or in the hole a mile.
DDOG. UP 19%
MELI UP 34%
DOCU DOWN 72%
Etsy down 71%
PTON down 92%
ABNB UP 16%
Eth up 33%
TTD UP 9%
UPST(double rec) down 62%( I bought lots of this dog)
I’ve since sold out of all but MELI, but what a disaster! Don’t be a FOOL! You can throw darts and do better!
Avoid unless you like losing money
I thought I was being smart by diversifying across all the best recommendations that they had, more than 30 different companies. Whilst the S&P has gone up near 50% in the last two years, these trash stocks that they recommend have run a horrendous loss, some more than 90%. I suspect they promote, then use pump and dump strategies and make their own money that way. Every now and again they get lucky, very lucky, but that is far outweighed by the massive losses. Just a bunch of kids who have no idea what real investing is all about.
