Mail order comics have little to no quality control and high postage and already expensive items have had me cut back what I order by about 90% in the last 12 months. Practically everything is warped... See more

One of the items in the order was missing. Unlikely to receive it before Christmas now.
Update the item arrived and all good.
Forbidden planet
I found that forbidden planet was a good place for comic book lovers. I also found it’s action figure we’re good for collectors BUT I thought the place hind of smelt bad don’t know what that tells us about the customers🙄
Great
Fast Purchase - dispatch time frame. Can’t fault the packaging in fact it was perfect. Everything wrapped individually in bags and boxes.
Quick response then safe delivery
Quick initial response,
corrected slight misinformation,
shipped promptly,
package arrived safe & sound in Canada earlier than expected
Great customer service team…
I ordered some Xmas presents from forbidden planet, there were some shipping issues but the customer service team fixed that in great time and was very open and transparent! I’ve shopped with forbidden planet for years and I will continue to do so :) great company
negative experience made good
Very large deluxe collectors edition book arrived in thin, card cover - not at all fit for the weight of the book and the package was ripped and the book was missing!!! A combination of bad courier choice and flimsy packaging from forbidden planet - to be fair they sent out a replacement immediately - packaged well and it arrived within a few days

Back to Their Worst
After trying them again for comics in the hope their appalling customer service had improved initially I was pleasantly surprised at a much improved experience with packaging being the proper mailers and boarding comics,. HOWEVER we are now back to the absolute joke service i grew to hate. Every order is damaged, using the flimsy cardboard sleeves, not proper mailers, no boarding. They are beyond stupid as it must cost a fortune with all the return postage and replacements. Their warehouse staff simply do not care that they are selling collectible items and the customer services team just cut and past the same generic apologies, with a shrug of the shoulders. How they haven't gone bust yet is a miracle and their management need to get a grip of the company before its too late.
Do your self a favour avoid and shop for your comics elsewhere. I luckily managed to stop a colleague from shopping here after he saw the state of my latest delivery, they might be a touch cheaper than other companies but the quality and service is the worst of any company i've ever used
For the second month in a row I have…
For the second month in a row I have pre-ordered a comic, in particular Conan no.5, cover C for this month, only to be told it's unavailable and I now can't get a copy in the UK. Si, I've asked on line with no reply, what's the point of pre-ordering, why are they allowing overseas buyers like midtown comics and dcbs to purchase in bulk and sell cheap without allocating a fair balance of each cover to UK sellers. It all boils down to the unfair financial clout that these US sellers operate under stripping UK buyers of the opportunity to purchase the titles they want on the same footing as those in the states.

Hot toys figure
Great service very quick delivery and a superb price.
Almost Perfect
Forbidden Planet is an awesome store. Their customer service for online transactions is also admirable. They replaced a defective comic for me graciously. However, the replacement copy was also damaged, just not as bad as the first copy. I would give them 5 stars, but the department in charge of QC should be more scrupulous before sending out items to collectors.
Customer services are a total shambles
Customer services are a total shambles. I asked for a returned order to be sent to another address, they happily agreed to this and then sent it back to the wrong address. When I contacted them to ask where the order was they blithely replied that one of my neighbours at the wrong address had taken it in and that I should check with them! Every time I tried to contact them it was as if they couldn’t or hadn’t read the whole email chain to understand the issue. Totally hopeless service.

Great store, awful online…
Always a pleasure visiting the stores across the U.K.
There’s a huge range of products to browse and very good quality - taken care of when handling.
However, the online store is in utter shambles. Some orders (in stock) take up to 2-3 weeks to ship, which is ridiculous considering I’m a U.K. citizen. I get emails all the time telling me products are in stock when they ARE NOT.
Don’t email me 3x about the availability of a graphic novel if you don’t have it. It’s misinformation and it clogs my inbox! Stop it.

Another positive experience
Great range and easy to order online. Good communication and timely delivery.
Just tried shopping in the Glasgow…
Just tried shopping in the Glasgow branch and staff member couldn’t be bothered looking up from the desk and when finally they got up it was like they couldn’t be bothered to deal with my enquiry. Wouldn’t recommend the place.

Excellent customer services
Excellent customer services - polite, prompt and helpful replies to questions; coupled with every effort being made to ship goods as soon as possible, even when having to deal with a high volume of orders. Very professional and reliable.
Well managed delivery
The products are perfect, magnificently packaged and protected, despite all the kilometers they have traveled.
