Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 99 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently experienced unexpected monthly subscription charges and automatic payments deducted from their accounts. Consumers also bitterly complained about poor product quality, noting that the golf balls felt hard like stones and significantly underperformed compared to advertising claims. Though some customers appreciated the golf balls or found them decent for casual play, many buyers strongly warned others about the hidden recurring fees. People strongly urged future buyers to check their payment cards and bank statements closely due to these recurring subscription charges being applied automatically after a purchase.

Written by the company

We're a team of everyday golfers, course pros, and engineers who got tired of paying $50+ a dozen for the same premium golf ball. So we built our own. A ball re-engineered from the core for longer drives, straighter shots, and durability that holds up round after round. We sell it directly to golfers, which is how we keep a tour-level ball at under half the usual price. Every order is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee: if you're not playing better, send it back, no questions asked.

Beware of the hidden subscription fee…

Beware of the hidden subscription fee they will charge without you knowing. I never received my balls that I paid for and the support area is just a bot replying to your emails. Had to get my bank involved. Huge disappointment.

Ordered a dozen balls at a price of

Ordered a dozen balls at a price of£16.95 which I thought was ok but 3 weeks later a further £14.90 was taken from my account. I got in touch with them and was told it was part of forgeway membership which I knew nothing about. Be careful when ordering so this doesn't happen to you.

Beware the recurring fee

The balls are nothing special and certainly made no difference to distance or direction.
More importantly buying them signed me up to some membership club, which then charged me £14.95 a month for 3 months before my wife mentioned it to me.
I'm not going to call it a scam but it's a practise shadier than an oak tree on a summers day.
Thus I've spent many £55 on a dozen balls no better than a cheap pack from sports direct.

Dodgy outfit!

I thought I'd try these balls out, but I was surprised when I was charged a second time. What was this for? Were they sending me more balls?
No. The second charge was for some sort of membership that I didn't ask for. Luckily, after complaining, they have issued a refund. I'll be interested to see if they also refund my original purchase after I said the balls were no good.
Dodgy bunch at best. Stay away!

Do not use them!!

Received my balls as ordered within 10 days. They are nothing special and will not order again. Like other customers I have had an additional withdrawal added to my card 14 days after original payment, with no explanation of why or what for. I will be at my bank blocking this company from ever being able to do this again. I have asked Forgeway for my money back but have had no reply. Please do not use this company!!!

Set up an unwanted subscription account

I ordered a box of golf balls from this company in June. I received the balls but have not yet used them. What the company did was to set up a subscription account. They’ve requested 2 additional payments through Paypal and I’ve only just noticed. I did not request any sort of subscription and I am trying to stop it.

I complained and they immediately refunded what they had taken. It seems that they do this without hassle. Why they do this in the first place is baffling.
I’ll give them 2 stars.

Took forever to receive these balls

Took forever to receive these balls, shipping info was rarely updated if ever. Tried reaching out to customer service several times, mixed reviews on support.

I did manage to login and cancel my monthly subscription. Balls finally arrived yesterday after 7 weeks. After reading the numerous reviews, I would send them back but just not worth the effort.

Be warned.

Sent my order for dozen balls which are just average performance balls which I received about two weeks later. My concern is the way I was signed up for membership and a monthly payment of $28.92 deducted from my account. Their advertising is quite sneaky. I cancelled my membership but never received a refund. How about a refund Forgeway golf.

automatically set up for subscription ot requested

Ordered golf balls on line, they arrived after about 3 weeks, they were ok nothing special, would not order again, but after looking at reviews discovered that they automatically charge you for balls each month. Checked my payment card and sure enough had been charged for 2nd shipment not requested. I have not received them dont want them and my advice dont order from them.

I was not only charged for a subscription i did not agree to but they duplicated my order and charged me twice i contacted them within 24 hours to cancel and they said it was already dispatched, that was not the case! poor customer service and very short sighted as i would never buy their very average balls again, sad a company sets its stall out in such a manner!!

Same as other reviews. Started to receive a monthly charge that I was not aware of. I have requested that they cancel & refund me the charge and also notified Paypal. Paypal have stopped further payments being taken.

Take Great Care

Take great care. Golf balls are average at best but hidden away in very small print is a 'subscription' at £14.95 per month with no obvious way of cancelling.
UPDATE
Since posting this review I've been contacted by Forgeway. My 'subscription' has been cancelled and the first payment promptly refunded. First class customer service. I've upgraded to 3 stars.

ASK7

First, the ball is not as advertised. I lost up to 45 yards on my drive. There was also more slice on my drives. Last, the cover got scuffed right away even though it landed on turf.
Beware of the subscription that they sign you up for without your knowledge. I only learned that from other reviews.
On another note if you want to return the golfballs, the shipping cost is almost as much as the price of the balls which may be their way of keeping people from returning them. Buyer beware.

Signed up to sub without permission

I ordered golf balls from this company, which arrived late, and now they have a recurring charge set up without my permission. Deceitful business practice that you should avoid.
