My experience with Formula Botanica has been transformative — both professionally and personally.
This program did not simply teach me how to formulate; it trained me to think critically about product safety, preservative systems, dermal limits and regulatory responsibility. The level of detail required pushed me beyond my comfort zone and strengthened my technical competence. I did not pass my final project on the first attempt, and that was emotionally challenging. However, the constructive feedback I received was thorough, professional and genuinely aimed at helping me improve. Those moments of refinement were the most valuable part of my journey. Through perseverance and deeper study, I developed a much stronger understanding of formulation science and safety. Passing my final project with a high score was not only an academic achievement — it represented growth, resilience and mastery. Formula Botanica maintains high standards, and I now understand why. Those standards prepare students to become responsible, confident and competent formulators.
I am proud to be a graduate, and grateful for the knowledge, discipline and confidence this course has given me.

It is a wonderful experience. I was somebody who just knew some kitchen beauty hacks and tips. But gradually turning yourself into a professional formulator is awesome. The courses is Formula Botanica is very structured and could start from basic to advanced level. And a great community to help you even with silly doubts. I am enjoying my journey here and they are making me more and more confident each day!

The course was clear and well structured. They provided useful instructions for every stage. Video interviews with resources person made complex and a lot easier to understand. I am taking 3 courses at Formula Botanic and have just completed the first in organic skincare formulation. This class was wonderful! I just loved it. I thought the learning modules were laid out beautifully, and were very easy to follow and understand. There was always access to ask questions and get feedback. Additionally, there are monthly webinars to join for further accountability, blog posts where you can get more information and details on a specific topic, and loads of other resources at your finger tips! I'm very happy I chose to study with Formula Botanica. I'm looking forward to diving into my next 2 courses.

I loved doing my Diploma in Hair and although I had a set back last year with Breast Cancer and couldn’t do my course as soon as I was well enough I was back on the course and determined to finish it, which I did well in time, because I had two years to do it. I love the formulas and because of what I have been through has made me see things differently and now I want to formulate for people who have a problem eg a balm or cream for improving scars etc. As always the team have been very informative in their videos and you can ask questions in the tutor forum or in the classroom. Keep up the good work in getting people formulating natural hair and skin products.

Clear concise lessons and videos with fantastic manuals and booklet support. Online help available and Facebook classroom support really helpful and good.

I really enjoyed the course in cosmetic stability testing at formula Botanica. It was so detailed and in depth and gave so many systems on how to do stability testing at home and what needs to be outsourced. I feel confident in following through with what I learnt in order to comply with EU regulations and even any regulations throughout the world.

The teachers and tutors are amazing. I'm so grateful. The care that goes into the online courses is outstanding. The course is packed with resources, information; it's relevant, and it's fun. I now have the confidence and the knowledge I needed to make my skincare dream a reality. I feel proud and excited for what's to come. Thank you ALL at Formula Botanica!

I've taken a lot of online courses and this one probably has the worst least intuitive least warm and inviting structure of any of them.

There's only one instructor in any of the videos and she speaks in a very monotone voice. There's no lifetime course access. The course doesn't begin by introducing you to the tools of the trade...as a matter of fact that info is kind of tricky to dig up, but you'll need to dig it up because it will be referenced even though they didn't introduce it to you...

The downloads with each module are not consistent with their formatting. They really really push starting a business which should be its own separate course not half of the material of an intro course. I was really hoping to learn how to work with colloidal oatmeal, CBD, and other therapeutics but no, instead we get material on branding for some reason.

All in all the general impression is that it's just chaotic and poorly structured and not great at being engaging and if I had done more research I would have chosen a different school altogether.

I really enjoyed the course. It was very detailed, and I learned a lot. I was surprised to learn how much there is to know about cosmetic preservation, what I need to do in my lab and the legal requirements around the world.
