The meaty chunks are quite large and not chewy. My dog was eating them whole and then throwing them back up later in the day as he wasn't able to digest them properly. I have chopped them up into quarters and now he is eating and digesting them fine. hopefully they will keep his joints in good condition as he is in good health but over 10 years old now
