The FoundersCard support desk was excellent in its support and assistance; just a shame that it was necessary to use them in the first place.... They are quite unclear what actual benefits are available with thier basic package, and even when asked, the responses are quite vague.
However, once I had cleared this hurdle I seem to be able to recoup more in benefits than the basic fee - although time will tell how true that turns out to be.

I have been a FoundersCard member for the past two years, and I genuinely enjoy the benefits, especially Hertz Gold and Hilton Gold status for bookings and the perks that come with them. It has made my trips better because I can stay at great hotels with meaningful discounts and also shop with discounts of up to 20 percent. On top of that, their support team is friendly and responsive. Whenever I have a question, they respond quickly and helpfully.

I had signed up for the Elite Membership when it was first offered two years ago. The discounts offered are not as significant or useful if you do not live in the U.S. I live in Canada. Additionally, I cancelled the membership last year and the company continues to try to charge my credit card for the annual fee.

For the most part, I have found that FoundersCard provides enough value as a membership to justify renewing each year. Aside from one event that I will describe below, I have not experienced many issues with either my membership or the use of its perks. Although several changes have occurred, including the removal of a few perks that I used frequently, FoundersCard has continued to find ways to offset those changes.
Regarding the issue I experienced recently, I would like to preface this by saying that I understand mistakes can happen. In this case, a mistake was made that caused some inconvenience. However, once I was able to get in touch with the appropriate individual, the issue was resolved promptly.
The issue was related to renewing my membership early, approximately nine days in advance. I believed I was avoiding a potential problem by renewing ahead of time. Unfortunately, renewing early led to a larger issue, which resulted in my account being temporarily suspended even though my membership had already been renewed.
I will have to wait and see how next year’s renewal process goes. Hopefully, it will be a much smoother experience.
