Unique - great experience
Placed a large online order for birthday and Christmas presents. It arrived on time (faster than expected even) and beautifully wrapped. As a Japanophile (is that the right word?!) and lover of unusual gifts I was delighted. Maybe one day I’ll manage to visit the shop in person, although there are so many nice things it might bankrupt me. Recommended!

Unique Products and Exceptional Service
I was so delightful to receive my parcel, all the items were lovingly wrapped with such an eye for detail. Was actually purchasing gifts for others but felt like I had received a gift myself, such care and detail had gone into packaging, even a wax seal and beautiful handwritten 'thank you for your custom' card. We're really sorry to hear this Alex. A lot of small retailers have the same issue with shipping costs. We have a flat rate with our courier, but it does mean you aren't getting as much value for money as larger orders. We charge exactly what the courier charges us, and not a penny more.
We'd rather you'd have contacted us before accepting the shipping cost and placing the order, as reviews like this are damaging to small businesses, and we really can't do anything to reduce the shipping costs.
