Absolutely horrible. The process of getting a mortgage on out beach house was ridiculous. I have a mortgage on my current house and we didn't have to do half the stuff we did for Bethpage. Now, they are making everything difficult the flood policy. I paid $4K for one and they still raised my mortgage $600 per month. I can not find anyone to talk to. My blood boils just seeing their logo.

I had a great experience doing a lease buy out directly with the bank. It was easy and smooth especially for me because I have a very busy schedule the agent was kind and help me via internet for the rest of the transaction.

Horrible place to do business. I’ve been unable to make online payments for over nine months now, despite several attempts to correct the issue. Currently unable to even make phone payments. Best to look elsewhere!
Your response to my review is pathetic. The issue was escalated, nine months ago as stated, to date you have done nothing to correct the issue except to set expectations that you never live up to. Another prime example of your company’s incompetence!

Mary- Manager, John and Thomas in Mineola branch beyond incredible. My brother recommended this branch and I do the same. Bethpage in Mineola because of it's Mgr, Mary, is the gift that keeps giving. Her entire staff there is the standard. Tom and John remind of that with their knowledge and how the service and personalize customers experiences. Yes Seca in the Glen Cove branch exemplified the same efficiency,speed, patience and personalized service today. I walked away pleasantly surprised as it has not always been that way with the exception of two other people, who unfortunately aren't always there. But, Yashica made my experience in my local branch beautiful.

Very good experience dealing with the Farmingdale branch where Karen set up my account and assisted me with documentation to follow up on my refinance loan. I already had the approval and she processed all the necessary papers. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

They are not even close to a 1 star! I strongly suggest anyone to look elsewhere for banking and loans! They are a shady bank who will hit you with unexpected fees! But that’s not it customer service talks to you like your trash they have no professionalism in their nature! They will not answer you or hang up on you if they don’t like the conversation! Like it’s their money their rules! Not an attractive place or business to deal with! Save the headaches and money and go somewhere else!

There was no apparent way to renew or cancel my maturing CD via their dated web site. Trying to get answers via the Message Center was frustrating; each of the 3 message-responses was random, wrong, and without any concern about actually helping me.
Finally, I discovered a hidden link and I requested that the CD be closed and the proceeds transferred. But, despite this WRITTEN request, the CD was intentionally renewed for two more years!
First and foremost, this is a very large amount of retirement money which I can’t afford to lose. And concerns about the safety of all my accounts were heighten by Newsday’s recent front-page story of a couple losing $127,000 from their BFCU account, which they thought was safe.
Obviously, I don’t need this stress every time a CD matures, or worry if my money is safe, in the interim. So, I am heeding my attorney’s advice and moving my accounts to a safer harbor.

Horrible bank. Steer clear. Had my account locked because I moved a few weeks ago and the change of address on my driver's ID hasn't been updated yet by the DMV. Bethpage sent no notifications of account freeze and it wasn't until I went to pay bills and buy food for my family that I found out I had no access to my account or funds.
Called them and they told me I could verify my address via video call but I had to wait 10 days for the next appointment and the fraud department could only be reached by email. Customer service was terrible. 1 star is too much. If I could give them a zero star I would.
Will be looking into legal action due to the lack of notifications.
I find it amusing that you refer to us as your valued customers. We have been denied two business loans in the past, (My business is now going for 31 years), and we were just denied a home equity line of credit when we have tons of equity in the house and the credit score was 810.
We're tired of BFCU not working with us when you've been making money on our account funds for so many years. We'll be removing that money from you and moving on to the other banks that have been working with us.
At this point I would give you one star at the most.

I use the North Babylon branch and and Nydia Ferrer assistant manager is always helpful and gives the highest level of service. She is always friendly and makes sure all of my questions are answered.

I have a very complicated trust account for my parents that I am trying to resolve. I went into the Centereach branch and was assisted by Richard Olsen. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He went out of his way to help me after other representatives at another branch had dropped the ball. I look forward to continued interactions with him to resolve my issues.
