The seller cancelled my paid eBay order using a false reason

The seller cancelled my paid eBay order using a false reason

I won and paid for an eBay auction for an HP ProBook 440 G7 Laptop, i5 10th Gen, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB NVMe SSD, Windows 11 Pro.

Order date: 25 May 2026
Order number: 16-14672-76064

Shortly afterwards, the seller cancelled the order and eBay showed the reason as: “Buyer asked to cancel the item(s) in this order.”

This is not true. I did not ask to cancel the order and I did not agree to any cancellation.

In my opinion, this is very unprofessional and misleading, especially after an auction has ended and the item has been paid for. I expected the seller to honour the result of the auction and follow eBay’s rules.

I contacted the seller to ask for an explanation and to request that the sale be completed properly. I hope the matter can still be resolved, but this experience has been disappointing and has damaged my trust in this seller.
