Frantoio Muraglia nasce ad Andria, capitale dell’olio pugliese, cinque generazioni fa, ma il patriarca della famiglia di primavere ne conta 450. È un maestoso albero di oliva coratina, cultivar autoctona armata di polifenoli come poche fra le 538 varietà italiane classificate. La nostra storia di frantoiani comincia da questo gigante verde che domina le nostre campagne nell’altopiano della Murgia, una distesa di circa 40 ettari di ulivi. Savino Muraglia senior lo acquistò per farci l’olio, sfidando chi gli diceva che con la terra e le olive non si fa fortuna. Chi avesse davvero ragione, lo dirà il tempo. Certo è che da quell’avo ostinato – una “capatosta” dicono i pugliesi – è nata la storia di un olio che oggi si trova nei corner gourmet di quaranta Paesi. Ma molte cose sono rimaste esattamente come erano in origine. A cominciare dal giuramento di custodire la biodiversità del paesaggio agricolo e le piante di importanza strategica per l’alimentazione, come gli ulivi. Continuiamo la raccolta delle olive a mano e la spremitura a freddo. A viaggiare in direzione extraverginità italiana senza compromessi. E naturalmente ad essere quello che siamo sempre stati: Capatosta.

Disappointing Customer Service
This review is about my experience not the oils which are exceptionally good.
On the 3rd Jan I wrote and asked specifically if the free delivery would apply to an order over €200 if it came to the UK (ie was it counted as Europe?)
I received a reply on 7th January where I was basically told I had to check on the website which wasn’t really helpful as that clearly was where I started.
I immediately replied asking for clarification and never heard back since!
I really wanted to place my order for 6 bottles so I went on the website again and tried to place the order for €232 put in my address which confirmed it was “Europe” and then promptly charged me “EU Shipping €25??? Even though it clearly states all over the web page Free Delivery over €200 to EU! I’m sure somewhere in the pages of terms and conditions there might be an explanation but why not just give me the answer when I enquired as you clearly must know the answer to your own delivery charges?
I give up as I have no confidence now in the company or anyone getting back to me which is a real shame as the oils are excellent

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that there was some confusion regarding free shipping for UK orders.
As explained in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale on our website, free shipping is available for orders over €200 throughout Europe with some exceptions for certain countries, including the UK: due to increased shipping costs and the average weight of orders in some European countries there are fixed costs even when the order exceeds the €200 threshold.

To better clarify this point, we have recently updated our website and now the banner above makes it clearer that free shipping is valid for most European countries but that in some specific cases there may be additional costs.
