Extremely disappointed with Freedom…
Extremely disappointed with Freedom Brokers.
My policy was cancelled by the insurer (Eridge), not by me, yet Freedom Brokers have applied customer-cancellation fees and broker admin charges as though I requested the cancellation myself. I have disputed the balance and asked for a full itemised breakdown of the charges, but instead of investigating, I have received debt collection warnings.
I have also explained that I am currently experiencing financial difficulties, which has made the situation even more stressful. Rather than treating the matter fairly, Freedom Brokers have continued to chase a disputed amount without properly addressing my concerns.
If this is not resolved, I will be escalating the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service, as charging customer-cancellation fees for an insurer-initiated cancellation does not appear consistent with FCA guidance on the fair treatment of customers.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering Freedom Brokers to be very cautious and to read their terms carefully before taking out a policy.
