One of the things that struck me early at A. Williams & Co. was how fast a freezing injunction matter moves. From first instructions to a hearing can be a matter of days, and everything — the affidavit evidence, the draft order, the note for the court, service on the recipient of funds — has to be right the first time.

I have watched the litigation team work through that pressure on high-value cross-border disputes, and the standard does not slip. Counsel is instructed early, the client is told what it will cost at the inception fir each stage, and the return date and its costs are prepared for from day one rather than treated as an afterthought.

Working alongside Akin Williams has shown me what urgent injunctive work actually demands. Freezing applications are unlike other litigation: the evidence of dissipation risk has to be assembled and sworn under real time pressure, and the duty of full and frank disclosure leaves no room for shortcuts.
