Lost money due to Refunds (Currency…

Lost money due to Refunds (Currency Exchange)

I feel that users should be given an option to refund to credits instead of a refund that causes us the customer to lose money over currency exchange. This is a lose lose situation and benefits nobody but credit card companies.

You need to rethink your business and finance for users, its not that hard.

Exactly what i mean , you don't have a way for users to top up and store currencies , and you happily refund a few days later after currency fluctuation. It's not my bank fault , its your fault for no being fast enough and not giving users enough options. Stop gaslighting yourself and make your service better instead.

SCAM & BLACKMAIL: They hold my items and money!Do not use One Map (From Japan)

Do not use One Map (From Japan). They are using abusive practices and blackmail. My package was returned to them due to a carrier error. Even though I paid over 200,000 JPY for my items, they refused to reship and forced me to pay AGAIN by credit card, bypassing PayPal protection.The worst part: they sent me a formal email threatening to DESTROY my luxury items (Tiffany, etc.) if I didn't pay their "penalties" by March 30th. This is pure extortion. After I disputed the charges, they blocked my account to prevent me from accessing my invoices.

I have already won my first dispute via PayPal, and a bank chargeback is ongoing for the rest (206,000 JPY). They are not a proxy service; they are scammers who hold your property hostage. Stay away!

P.S.Your explanation is false.
1.No "Import Restrictions": The items were luxury goods (Tiffany/Chanel) legally purchased in Japan. There are NO restrictions for these items. The return happened ONLY because your partner (FedEx) failed to process the customs clearance in France despite me providing all the necessary broker information.

2.Illegal Customs Fees: You charged me Japanese import duties for a RETURNED shipment. Under international law, goods returned to their country of origin are not subject to new import duties. You used this as a pretext to extort more money.
3.The "Destruction"Threat: You conveniently ignored the fact that you sent me a formal ultimatum (from "Jess") threatening to DESTROY my property if I didn't pay your "fees" via credit card.

4.Blocking Access: You blocked my account so I cannot access my own invoices to provide to my bank.

If you truly want to resolve this, stop hiding behind "official channels" and refund the remaining 206,391 JPY that you forced me to pay by credit card under duress. Until then, the bank chargeback for extortion will continue.

We would like to clarify that, in your case, the shipment was returned due to import restrictions (regulatory requirements), rather than a carrier error.
Additionally, customs duties and import-related fees were applied based on the declared value of the items, which may have resulted in higher overall costs than expected.

Regarding the financial aspect, we have already issued refunds covering the disputed amounts, including the return shipping fee and the original international shipping cost.
We also understand your concerns about additional fees. In general, if there is a valid reason (for example, a return without clear cause), we are able to assist customers in raising a dispute with the shipping carrier.
However, in cases involving import restrictions, such charges are typically applied in accordance with regulations.

We sincerely apologize that the reshipment process required additional time.

FromJapan is LEGENDARY!

Never had a bad experience with FromJapan but recently had an amazing experience with top tier customer service. I had bought a big item that wouldn’t fit into the cheaper shipping method originally. after a long but productive discussion with Jun, We agreed that the parcel could be repacked for it to be slightly cheaper but not expecting it to be within limits for this cheaper shipping method. I wake up today and check, and the very efficient warehouse staff managed to get it down to 29.85KG (limit was 30KG). Legendary is the only word i can use to describe these people. I wouldnt get better customer service anywhere else.

Flawless Experience from Start to Finish

This was my first time using a proxy service, and I have to say I couldn’t be happier with my decision to choose From Japan.

Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I experienced customer support as fast and efficient as the FJ team’s. I was truly impressed by how quickly they responded to my initial ticket—and it wasn’t just a one-time occurrence. Every interaction was handled promptly, clearly, and efficiently, allowing me to resolve all my questions about the item I was interested in without any delays.

I’ll admit I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing a fragile item, but the packaging exceeded my expectations. It was handled with great care and professionalism. The packing was thoughtfully done, with the item securely fixed inside the box to prevent any movement or damage during transit. It arrived in perfect condition, with all its parts intact and exactly as described in the original listing.

I have been a platinum customer with…

I have been a platinum customer with 'From Japan' for 3 years. The product range is absolutely fantastic once you learn how to work the shopping mall search strings effectively. They have an incredible selection of Japanese items to search that you would struggle to find elsewhere.

The packing was extremely careful and thoughtful. Every item was securely wrapped and protected, with extra padding where needed, so everything arrived in perfect condition with no damage at all.

The customer service staff are genuinely helpful and responsive. They answered my questions quickly and went the extra mile to make sure I had all the information I needed.

Shipping rates are very reasonable compared to other international sellers and especially against auction houses, who can heavily over charge for the same service.

My advice is be realistic as to what it is you're expecting from a proxy service and you can't go wrong with 'From Japan'. Don't go to buy a 2 metre item and then expect the shipping to be $15. You're buying into a service that is constrained by the courier charges it uses and shipping calculators are there to give you an idea of potential costs before you commit.

Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.

To Mr Fujiya

Will you consider restructuring the Order Processing Department and fire all of those useless employees who are currently working in that department already?
With Automatic Bots already handling most of the orders from various websites, what took those workers so long (more than 1 hour) to just order 5 simple items from Suruga-ya???
They are just far too lazy and pushing the customers away really hard!
If you really looking to improve your business, I strongly suggest you first remove the obstacles that are discouraging the current customers from buying more. FIRE THEM NOW!

For orders placed on Suruga-ya, there are currently specific limitations that affect processing speed. Due to a past unauthorized access incident involving the leakage of credit card information on the seller’s side, credit card payments have been temporarily suspended by the store. As a result, automated ordering is not available for Suruga-ya at this time, and all orders must be handled manually, which may lead to delays.

Once the store resumes credit card payments, we expect that automated ordering will also become available again, which should significantly improve processing speed.

Forced to spend money for a cancelled order.

Encountered a horrible experience making me regret a purchase with FJ. Seller on Mercari cancelled my order because they do not deal with foreignors. Instead of reversing payment for refund to get back the exact amount I spent, I was refunded at a worse-off exchange rate making me lose money. The timing seems deliberate. In the end I spent money without getting anything in return. Buyers should have been given the option to be refunded in alternative methods like credits, points or coupons. This is an option available by other proxies to avoid exchange rate loss. I'm now very disappointed.

Until FJ updates the refund process by giving options, I can’t rate this service any better.

From Japan always refund the exact amount paid in the currency selected by the customer at the time of payment on our platform. Therefore, the refund was issued in yen, and the amount in your local currency depended on the exchange rate applied by your bank.

When I first discovered the One Map…

When I first discovered the From Japan online merchant, I was able to purchase rare items online that is originated exclusively from Japan (which cannot be found elsewhere overseas).

For example, a trading cards of my favorite character (like in Inazuma Eleven anime), I can bought it online with few clicks and cheaper than those bought with Amazon JP or in eBay.

The accessibility is good, alongside with other merchants like those in eBay, Amazon JP, or Goods Republic; since some online merchants like Surugaya that caters only to the residents of Japan.

One Map helps a lot, acting as a middleman for the purchase that facilitates storing the items in their warehouse and eventually ship it directly to my residents in the Philippines.

The price is cheaper unlike in eBay, where price is inclusive of shipment. In One Map, I can bought several items and consolidate it into one shipment.

The purchase was easy. Since I use Php instead of JPy, it is automatically converted to my local currency via PayPal in one click.

I have the choice of shipment. The EMS takes only 3 working days. The FedEx and UPS are also quick but too expensive. Tracking number is available. In eBay, some of my items were never arrived after months of waiting.

The anime items are excellent with their design.

From Japan connects faster with my chosen items to be bought in Japan without the need of visiting the country.

Seamless buying from Japan!

I started using From Japan proxy service to purchase items from Japan that I would not be able to as a buyer from overseas. It is very easy to set up an account and your preferred payment method. From Japan helps you to store purchases for 60 days and consolidates purchases for shipment if you wish. They are very prompt with shipping to you and packs the purchases very well. Amazing packaging detail!

I consistently buy big pachislot/pachinko machines from FROMJAPAN. I am extremely proud and happy with their packaging work. They put so much love and care into how they ship the boxes. These machines can be damaged easily, if not cared for, but I am proud to say FROMJAPAN treats my stuff like it’s theirs. I am so happy. I can’t wait to buy more machines!
