Missing items to delivery (bed drawer & mattress). Late replies from Customer service. Problems were resolved but my experience was far from 5 star though.
Once all bids delivered and bed was put together I must admit quality is really good comparing to monies spent.

We ordered a specialised bed for our disabled daughter. It never arrived. 100% scammers. Only writing this review to warn others not to waste their hard earned money on site. I Cannot believe they are still allowed to trade!? Surely the police have been notified on more than one occasion.

- It is now April and I have no desk
- I have chased for order status several times via contact form and have been give 4 different delivery dates all which pass without further contact.

I'm am now trying to get a refund by a latest contact form.

I'm extremely disappointed. It is not wise to do business with Fromthemakers.co.uk.

I have not received my item despite numerous emails and attempts to call. I have been told 2 delivery dates and both have been missed. Now when I email no-one replies and no-one answers the phone.

Please can someone from the company contact me otherwise I will instruct legal action

Our order took 10 wks to be delivered instead of 4-6 listed on the page. Delay was a hugely inconvenient as we have sold our son’s bed and he had no place to sleep for the next 9 wks!
The communication with the shop was very good and prompt responses were emailed so George on the phone was incredibly supportive and he did his best.
Shop was honest with the situation they faced and offered us a compensation we accepted and received back from Klarna.
The bed is super good quality which we highly appreciate. Such a shame it took so long.

I had to cancel our order as it was placed in Feb and there is no bed in April. I was disappointed. I paid with my bank and panicked when cancelled and saw all the reviews. Luckily refund was processed back to our bank within promised timeframe. Communication was okay during whole process. I would prefer to have a bed but happy to money back.

Minus 5 stars would be more appropriate.

Ordered a bed 09/02/2023 estimated to be shipped 15/03/2023.

Further emails stating delays to the process so I decided, on 26/03/2023, to cancel my order.
The company agreed and stated a refund would take up to 14 days.
No refund returned (I purchased through Klarna so now they will be getting the money back). I emailed the company again on 10/04/2023 asking where my money is and that no notification had been made via Klarna.
NO RESPONSE
I emailed again 13/04/2023 chasing it.
NO RESPONSE
and again on 16/04/2023.
NO RESPONSE

I definitely feel as though I have been scammed so all moves now are to publicly put them for stealing my money and have Klarna investigate them and I have also reached out to the financial ombudsman.

Hopefully this fraudulent company will be closed down soon.

Please don’t chance it and buy from them.

I have never received neither the product nor the refund. I have been promised the refund on many occasions and there as alsways something on the way, eg. They didn’t receive my bank details, the bank has o blocked the transaction, etc. I’ve lost over 400£ for now but will be starting the legal process. Please don’t buy from them! #1000042185

FRAUD!! SCAM!!
First contacted seller when item had missed its expected delivery date. Seller couldn't confirm date for delivery, therefore order cancelled (2nd baby due in weeks, needed a new bed ASAP for toddler) acknowledgment of cancellation verbally and written. However no refund received and all correspondence has ceased!! Have contacted the bank to inform them of the FRAUD and SCAM! Reported to Trading Standards and have obtained a crime reference number!!
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE!! You will receive NOTHING!! The positive reviews are bought and paid for!

Took our money, didn't deliver the bed. We asked for a refund and now they won't answer the phone or respond to emails. It's been months.

Update: They got in touch to offer a refund "after 30 days", 30 days went by and they haven't refunded me. Legal action next, I think.

Trustpilot how have you verified this company?!?! Absolute scam artists. Ordered a bed for my son and its not arrived, number on the website dosnt work, no replys to emails. Do not order from this company you will not get your order :(
Disgusting that these people can get away with this.

I have ordered a bed for my son. The bed has come with multiple pieces missing as well as pieces full of splints which shows this bed is incredibly unsafe and innapropriate for a child! One touch and their hands will be covered in splinters. They stated they were going to send out the missing pieces (prior to me noticing the bed is full of splinters), 2 weeks later, still no new pieces so I emailed them and they all of a sudden are waiting for the pieces to come into the warehouse eve though they told me 2 weeks prior that they were sending them out? I have requested a refund within 30 days of receiving the item and the team have said that their manager will get back to me within 2 days time. It has now been 2.5weeks and counting. No reply, no honesty and certainly no quality to their products or customer service. I will be taking this matter through trading standards should this not be sorted via fromthemakers!

TOTAL SCAM!!! ordered a bed for my daughter for our new house in Nov and the bed never arrived! I requested a refund and it is approved but I still haven't received my refund at all after another 3 months of waiting. I called customer service and a guy told me he will transfer the request to the accounting department and they will get back to me and process the refund. but I NEVER get any feedback from them at all.

I needed a desk ASAP and found ALVA desk at from the makers site. It was easy to order but I called them to make sure it would be with me in days not weeks or months. Guy on the phone provided all the info and he was very polite so decided to give them a try. Next day I received a tracking and the next day in the morning I received a txt that my desk would be delivered 11am-1pm. Very efficient and quick delivery service
Good quality product - everything fitted together well and feels and looks really solid. I recommend them. Actually some of my friends have already asked me where I stocked my desk from.

We’ve ordered 3 in 1 Cot Bed earlier in March. It took about 10 days to arrive which was much better than we were expecting. 2 weeks Later small disapoitment as it arrived started to assemble and turned out mattress was missing.
Assembly took us 4 hours 😂😂😂 and definitely wasn’t a piece of 🍰
Contacted seller regarding matters. We accepted resolution offered by the seller and had our mattress refunded 2 days later

Unlike most of the negative reviews here, we actually received a bed. It just wasn't what we ordered...

My partner ordered a house bed for our daughter from this company, as the bed she has been using had to be turned back into a cot for our new baby.

The order arrived after 2 weeks, which was a relief after reading the reviews here of orders just not showing up. Her room wasn't ready, so we left the bed boxed as it was the last piece of furniture to go in the room.

The problems came when I opened the box to build the bed.

Right away, I noticed there were no instructions in the box, and the wood was very poor quality; Essentially just construction timber you can buy from B&Q at £1 a meter.

The workmanship is awful. There are places where the wood has been incorrectly drilled, and the frame is covered in general defects, dents, scratches, blown out drill-holes and pencil marks.

The worst part is that it's not even the bed we ordered, which looked great on the website. In-fact, what we were sent isn't even shown on the website. I suspect if your fortunate enough to receive a bed from this company you'll receive exactly the same as we did, no matter what you ordered making recourse that much more difficult.

I've tried contacting the company several times by phone, which goes unanswered every single time.

On their about page they show an Email for the MD, to which email are rejected, because the email address does not exist.

I've only had one response from their info email address, which was a broken English reply and a link to a YouTube video of how to assemble the bed we were sent; you can find this on their "Furnique" YouTube channel which doesn't even try to hide the fact that it's a different bed to what is pictured.

After looking more into the company it becomes more and more apparent how just untrustworthy they are.

Their accounts are overdue and their website domain expires at the end of this Month. I fully expect them to vanish then making any chance of getting you're money back impossible.

They have operated under other company names over the years that have disappeared. You can investigate MRHousey, Kiddic and Furnique amongst others.

Their Facebook page is purposely not a business page, so users can't leave reviews, but please check the reply's to their posts for an idea of their service.

If after reading the reviews here, you for some reason still want to order from this company. Please! Pay by credit card. They encourage you to pay by bank transfer to save 10%, which in hindsight, was a huge red flag.

I'm giving them another week to refund our purchase before I issue a county court claim against them. I fully expect not to get my money back, and for them to just disappear and no doubt spring back up again under another company name in the near future.

Their business model seems to be praying on the parents of small children, and it makes me sick.

In response to FromTheMakers reply below: You have all this information already, along with images of the defects. Offering to replace faulty parts doesn't help me when what you've sent isn't even the correct product. If you want to actually address the issue, then you could start by returning my emails, or answering the phone.

Placed an order a few weeks ago. When trying to find out about delivery they stopped communicating. Can't call as number always engaged and no reply to any of emails. Total scam. Hopefully my bank can sort the return of my money.
