I'm so happy to have met the sales gal…

I'm so happy to have met the sales gal at Maxey Trailers, Ft Collins, after purchasing my model 9652. It was worth the drive from SLC, Utah, to get the trailer. I was able to handle the little issues like putting the bar in the dressing room in the walk thru area because I needed to have a water tower installed and the bar was in the way. Also, it took some getting used to the key locks but probably because they were so new. I've already put a few 1,000 horse camping miles on the trailer in the past few months and towing is a breeze. It's a beautiful unit and I love straight loads with my one horse because the 2nd stall is used for needed bales. I'm the envy of my group of riders. Love my Featherlite!

The doors for the hidden ramps are not done correctly in my opinion. And the butt crimping wiring very poorly done .. I have almost had to repair every connection.. disappointing for sure . Don’t know if my next trailer will be one of yours ..

Good trailer

Very good trailer, the only thing i would have liked and notice after usine it couples of time are :

1. should have used a pillow bearing to hold the shaft that rotate the jack of the trailer instead of a sleeve.

2. There is nothing to tie a cow inside. I had to weld some bracket to be able to tie a cow with a leach.

3. One very good point, on my fifthweel 16 foots trailer, there is no mechanical inspection to be done in quebec province.

I'm giving you 4 stars because when we called to get a quote on Slats for our new trailer, the price was very high. I am disappointed that you all charge that much and we're having to go elsewhere.

2019 featherlite 4926…

I purchased a new 2019 featherlite 4926 car trailer in a 24' length and so far I'm very satisfied with the fit and function of the trailer.
It is currently being finished inside with insulation and better lighting, a winch and a extra length ramp extention. The only issue noticed is the wheelwells are exceptionally tall in the interior and will cause issues in most cases opening vehicle doors once loaded. This required the winch addition.

On my third Featherlite enclosed bumper…

On my third Featherlite enclosed bumper pull car trailer, started with 24' with wood floor, loved it but needed heaver axles, traded it for 24" aluminum floor with 4800 lb axles, held up great. Then decided trade in because it had a zillion miles on it and get a 28' with 5200 axles. Wanted a little more room for the stuff that goes to the track events along with the car.

Featherlite 4410 Enclosed Car Trailer - well done!

I just made my maiden voyage with my new 24' Featherlite 4410 trailer. Loading my race car was made easy with the huge escape door. Then when driving on the interstate coming out of Atlanta in moderate rain, I had to make an emergency maneuver when another driver changed their mind about exiting, and came flying into my lane. I had to quickly swerve into the adjacent lane to avoid a collision, and the loaded 4410 trailer tracked obediently behind with negligible sway. I'm not sure my previous trailer would have done the same, and at that moment I was glad I made the investment in the 4410. After this trip, I'm convinced the spread axle design helps balance the load and allows the trailer to track with more stability. I just didn't expect to put it to the test the very first outing. I wasn't even using my load distributing hitch and I'm of the opinion I won't need it with this trailer. Overall I'm very impressed with the design - its a big step up from my previous trailer, and worth every penny!

Awful customer service

Post-sales customer service is awful/non-existent. Dealers are stuck in the middle, and can't help because Featherlite corporate is completely unresponsive and unwilling to help. I've been waiting for 6 weeks and counting for a common replacement part. Featherlite won't respond in any way (phone, email) to inquiries about when the part will be shipped out because "they only deal with dealers", but my dealer can't get any information out of them either. What's the point of buying a Featherlite if you can't use it when something breaks? Very disappointed and frustrated customer.

I have been looking at trailers for…

I have been looking at trailers for more than 20 years. I've had a few, and finally bought the one I wanted from Featherlite. I spent more, and was really ok with that based on getting a quality product. I must say, I was not let down with all the characteristics of the trailer's overall performance and quality. However, on the trip home from the dealer the back door spring completely un-spooled, and I was left with a non-functional door. Having only towed this brand new trailer 150 miles, I was surprised. Things happen. I e-mailed the dealer, and this is where things go wrong. I made them aware of the issue and that I wanted to have a garage door company rewind the door, being the closest dealer to me is 2 hours away. I got a return e-mail stating they had notified the factory of the problem and they were sorry for the issue. No offer to help me out in the repair, and no mention of helping me out with the repair bill on a new trailer that cost me $1500 more than the competitive unit from another manufacturer. I hope my long term dream of owning the best trailer wont be tainted by the bitter pill of having to fix my brand new unit after 150 miles of towing it home. I was disappointed with that part of the deal....I guess it's all about the $$$$...Too bad....

Featherlite does not stand behind their product!

I have purchased two, very expensive, custom built Featherlite trailers in the past 5 years. The spring in the lower hinge of the spring-assist ramp door broke on the first trailer after only 3 years. I contacted Featherlite and was told that part was not covered under warranty and furthermore, has been discontinued. They gave me the name of the supplier of that spring and essentially told me "you are on your own"--on a 3 year old, $15,000 trailer!!! I contacted the supplier and was told by them that the spring was no longer being produced and should have never been used for that ramp door because it was not heavy enough to support the weight. In my book, that is a manufacturing design flaw! When I pointed this out to Featherlite, they had no intentions whatsoever of making this right--absolutely none! They suggested I convert the ramp door to cable-assist, at my expense!! The second trailer I bought from them was approximately $10,000 and the roof leaked the very first time I pulled it in the rain. Also, one of the lugs snapped off for some unknown reason (I had approximately 1500 pound load on a 3500 pound axle). I contacted the dealer who sold me the trailer (Rod's Power Sports in Lincoln, NE) over a month ago with a couple follow ups since and absolutely nothing has been done! My rep at Rod's blamed Featherlite for not getting back to him. I have yet to be contact by either the dealer or Featherlite for any sort of remedy. This is completely unacceptable. If I wanted crappy trailers and service, I would have bought something out of the parking lot at Home Depot. They love selling expensive trailers but will absolutely not follow through if there is any kind of problems after they have your money!

BAD REAR SLIDING DOOR!!!

FULL STORY!! In 2006 I bought a new 2006 aluminum Featherlite stock trailer. Owned with no problems for years. I traded in the 06 for a New 2018 Featherlite aluminum stock trailer. Recently I had 8 different types of trailers at my place hauling calves. OUT OF all 8 trailers my 2018 NEW FEATHERLITE stock trailer had by far the hardest rear sliding door. NEARLY impossible to slide!!! This a poor design and I am looking at trading this new trailer for a different BRAND!! FEATHERLITE DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR DESIGN!!!
