Did not light
Took well over 2hrs to even start lighting. Very disappointing outcome. Purchased 2 packs of 12 logs and will be taking one pack back for a refund!

I dont know what to cry at more the fact I just payed £24 for 2 bags of logs that dont even equal 1 bag from my local supplier who charges only £6 a bag or the fact that when I opened 1 the logs looked so small they were more like kindling and the second bag I opened was soaking wet 😭 never again will I buy of these rip off merchants
Not a single peice has caught a light. I've used like 1kg of kindling and 1 litre of bbq fluid. Terrible coal. Avoid.
Very poor heat output.
Burns to fast, not very economical.Wouldnt buy again.
I'm going back to my usual smokeless fuel, more heat output, lasts longer.
All in all, better value for money.
Dreadful, don't think one piece called qualify as a briquette. Could douse in petrol and I doubt would light. Simply not fit for purpose.
Bought two bags of charcoal, neither of which would burn at all. Absolute rubbish.
I have bought fuel express logs and fire lighters and am really pleased with the quality. Amazing in our wood fired pizza oven
Rubbish charcoal. Some does not even burn. Never had that before. Charcoal should all turn to ash but this stuff always has unburnt coal and does not get hot enough to properly cook. Even tried to blow torch to get it going and that didn't help. I have half a bag left and it's going in the bin as you can't even burn it for rubbish!
Worst charcoal ever bought, used the recommend fire wood kindling, twisted newspaper and fire lighters and the coal would still not light. Over two weeks ago I sent fuel express an email about my issue and still no response, very poor product and even worse customer service. Avoid at all costs
WATCH THEM CLOSELY....
Took in a 6kg Calor propane gas bottle in and was given a Budget gas bottle, now the won't change it back to Calor.
Blaze firelighters are small cubes of compressed sawdust, impregnated with waxes and paraffins so that they burn like a candle to help light a fire. I've bought numerous packs of these over the last several years and been very content.
But last month, influenced by this good experience, I bought in bulk for the first time - 576 of them. The packaging, picture, advertising - all the same. But whereas the old ones were dark coloured, smelt of chocolate, had a slightly greasy feel, lit immediately and burned strongly, the new ones are scarcely more than dry sawdust - and in consequence do not light easily, and go out readily. As firelighters, their effectiveness has gone from excellent to poor.
It is clear that the makers either have no quality control, or have significantly cut the wax/paraffin additives. It's a dramatic change when the blocks are inspected: the picture on the package matches the old blocks and is dark brown, while the new ones are off-white.
Of course few things can stay the same forever, and supply difficulties and costs can oblige formulation changes on manufacturers. But to make changes which leave these firelighters less effective - worse in EVERY SINGLE RESPECT at their primary function - and to do it COVERTLY - not mentioning the change and keeping the picture and packaging the same....is simple dishonesty.
I await a response to a complaint made direct to Fuel Express over this: if the response materially changes my understanding of what has happened here, it would be grossly unfair if I was unwilling to qualify this review. So of course I am prepared to do this, in that event.
Had the misfortune to buy the instant light charcoal bags......... BIG MISTAKE!
Absolutely stinks of chemicals, 100 times worse than similar products. Did not light properly and ruined the nice BBQ flavour that my Weber had acquired. 2 days later and the house still reeks of chemicals.....Do not buy this junk
Bought one of their Barbecue units - completely useless - don’t waste your money !
