Worst agency in Luxembourg

It's the worst agency in Luxembourg, woudn't recommend them. AT ALL. They try to make as much money as they can from you.

Most of the good reviews on the internet are from their employees.

This is the WORST Service in…Rent and accommodation business

This is the WORST Service in LUXEMBOURG. The rooms are always dirty, cold in winter and the best part they will 100% put the fine on you, even saying no deposit, they take 1000EUR Guarantee, then after almost 1 month they will come up with excuse, like room is not clean, something on the wall etc., and will try too charge fine as high as they cant. The are not ethical, sorry they dont know what is ethics. Better sleep on the street, get Airbnb rather then take what they give. Check other reviews before taking decision you will regret 95% Guaranteed.

Important to read: They practice this scam

Beware if the room looks to good, they usually trick people with this. When I was using their services, I reserved a room in a 3 rooms house, which was looking good. The last person in that room was a friend of mine, and he contacted me telling another person was asking some doubts about the room. Turns out they had made a reservation for me and the other person at the same time. They use this trick to atract you and then changing your room the same days you go get the keys, to a much worst one. I found several reviews of people that were claiming being victims of the same scam. Absolutely not recommended, do not pick because you will not even know if that will be the real room until the day they give you the keys. Of course, when you discover this and ask for explanations, they suddenly become much more unpolite.

No major issues and pleasant experience

I may sound like devil's advocate here but trust me I am not. I stayed in one of their houses in Bonnvoie and I will cherish the experience forever. I think what they do is just business and they are here for that, all the remaining stuff is upto us-- the housemates. Believe me it's about co-existance and we must take into consideration that it's a skill as well. Co-living is better done than being said and its all about mutual respect.They charge you one month advance, they charge you early termination and rooms are not like palaces but that's how this business is supposed to be as they are also solving the problem of a shelter for people who are completely new to the country, and they are making a premium out of that. We all in the house managed it really well, we had some issues like electricity and heating which took a while to be fixed and I think I cannot penalize them as it happened once in 4 months of my stay here. The internet was good, may be fridges and kitchen were not sufficient when we look at the number of people where we definitely felt difficulties but we managed with mutual coordination.I will move out this month and will update the review on my caution fees but looking at the processes involved and state of online transactions in Lux, looks like it will be a moonshot 😂

Nonsense

Spam real estate websites with irrelevant ads.
Giving deposit back only after 2 months since i move out.
Support on their website works well.

Avoid if the house is in 'Esche'.

Good things about them - what you see on picture is what you get, can trust them and make the payment they asked.

Worst thing- they will rent you a house knowing you can't register at the commune and this is mandatory in Luxembourg. If the house is located in Esche- just avoid it. Never from them. Other places are fine.

It's a complete scam

I made a reservation for a room at furnished in the website they said
"if for some reason your application is refused, the advance paid will immediately be refunded on your credit card".
Then they cancelled my reservation because I don't have a copy of my work contract and now they don't want to refund my 150€. I'm going to contact the Luxembourg Consumer Protection Association.

Do not engage with this real estate agency. In March 2022 I was hired in Lux and looked for a flat. I reserved a room in a 3 bedroom flat through the website paying 150€. I saw the bad comments but it was the cheapest option. First catch, the demanded me to transfer the deposit + first rent BEFORE sending me the contract with high time pressure (you have to make the bank transfert in 72h after they accept the reservation or you lose the 150€). Then I saw the contract: tones of side costs in case of heating in the absence of the tenets, right for them to enter the flat at any time without notice... But I signed in the hope everything was going to be ok. Then by the end of March a very nice lady called me saying something like: I cannot guarantee you you will have the room you booked ; please book another one on the website (in the contract the inserted a clause allowing them to ask you to change room/flat on a unilateral basis for technical reason). She suggested a 7 people flat which I did not want to engage in (the majority of their properties are >6 tenets per flat). I declined by email. If at the end of April I received the full amount of the money I gave them (reservation fees + deposit + first rent...) I had to contact them again and again for that, to provide my bank account ID at least 3 times... so that they kept my money for a month even after cancelling my reservation unilaterally. This is MY experience, some people I asked had a better feedback from this agency but I must let you know that this happened. At the end of the day, I went through another Luxembourgish agency who explicitly advised against this one at first as the did not have a flat in my ranges of prices. I end up paying the double of what I would have paid with furnished.lu but this is worst every penny. My advice: if you can bring the extra money pay more and avoid yourself the trouble.

Worst Agency ever

I've never seen something like this , you cannot visit the apartment before going in, all the picture have been made to hide the worst part , and they don't even have a floorplan for some of it.
So basically you end up in an dirty apartment with 6 people , a kitchen made for 2 and no other shared space .
Good luck with that,last time for me.

MUST READ - WHAT A JOKE -

From the moment that furnished.lu has your money, they stop caring about you.
I had never been to Luxembourg and needed a place to stay which had free parking. I therefore chose a place slightly outside Luxembourg to accommodate my needs.

1. They sent me to the wrong accommodation as the one I had booked/reserved was no longer available
2. They confirmed that the new place had free parking - I ended paying for the whole 10 days I was there. (over 100 euros of parking)
3. I went to the office to speak to the manager. They made me wait for two hours and never spoke to anyone. The young girl there (was probably an intern) was incapable of doing anything apart from issuing keys. (During the time I was there multiple people came to ask for help and her response was. I ll get back to you next week - she NEVER took any notes so go figure).
3. I asked for a compensation. request denied
4. I sent a complain letter - No response
5. I called to complain - The intern said -- we' ll get back to you
6. Finally managed to complain to a manager (via email). no response for over a week
7. Called again to complain
8. Manager finally responds with complete wrong demand
9. Finally, I got to talk to the manager who apologized and confirm that he will get back to me the next day with a response and a compensation - that did not happen
10. Waited over 10 days sending follow up email to receive his response.
11. I sent an email to the owner and CEO to mention the issue I had encountered. Still no response from them.
12. I still have not received my deposit back. Its been over 3 months now and still nothing.

This is only a fraction of what I have been through with Furnished.com It is the worst experience I have ever received ever.

Upon arriving in January I was told the room I was supposed to be getting was no longer available due to the old tenant refusing to move out (which I don’t believe was true). I had a contract with them and had paid all the relevant fees and was told only an hour before collecting my keys that the room was no longer available. I am currently living in a hotel for a month before I can get another apartment off of furnished. Although I have emailed on multiple occasions about them reimbursing me for the hotel they have simply ignored these requests. This is simply unacceptable and being a student completing an internship this expense and stress is not fair. I hope I will receive this room in February but if I had not already paid them so much I would change agencies.
