Closed shop

Ordered furniture on July 6th 2023. A week later my VISA payment was returned, the website was down, and not a single word from Futonota. I must only assume that they closed shop.

Bad quality

Bad quality. Only few weeks after the installation, the bed is falling apart. Bad material, the wood started to crack when we put the screws in. The screws might not be sufficiently long as the scale got dismantled after only few weeks. We are very disappointed given the price and we don’t feel that it is secured for our 6 years old.

Good customer service

Good customer service, not amazing delivery, good quality products but small things like a scratch on a wood framed bed and missing holes for assembly were found. I still love the bed though so not returning it.

I got a bed with a broken leg

I got a bed with a broken leg (see the photo). The leg might have broken during transportation, but the real reason is that the legs were made of smaller pieces that were put together. I guess it was cheaper for Futonota to do this, instead of buying 1 meter long pieces of solid wood to use as supporting legs. They could also have packed it in a better way.

Update: I got a replacement for the broken part after some time (together with a present, a sitting pillow for the kids to play). I still have to unmount and mount again part of the bed though. So, overall, I'm not happy with my shopping experience.

Very good service

Very good service: The futon was not delivered to my home, it was my mistake. I informed Futonota who reacted very quickly and secured the delivery to the right address, and at no additional cost.
And the futon I have now received is fantastic.

Product quality is quite satisfying so…

Product quality is quite satisfying so far. Only bad experience was waiting time that is too long and on top of that product still arrived late.

A well-run furniture import company

A well-run furniture import company, where you can find good quality pieces unusual in Oslo. - such as the tatamis and futon mattress I purchased. The showroom, at Oslo's outskirts, is small but worth visiting if you are nearby to get an idea of the wares.

Delivery times are quite long but you are well advised in advanced and customer service is responsible and returns queries quickly.

Definitely recommendable.

We had a very good experience with…

We had a very good experience with Futonota. Our futon was delivered as promised. On top, because the first delivery came at a time when we could not receive it due to travel restrictions, they were so kind to store the futon for a while longer and arranged a second delivery without problems.

One of the Tatami boxes was broken in 2…

One of the Tatami boxes was broken in 2 zones. Fortunately the Tatami was not damaged, but it could easily have been.

The Futon plastic protector had a huge black and sticky material in one corner. It stained my floor. The packing was so nice that did not get into the Futon, and I noticed the stain on the floor on time to clean it.

I think you should take a double check with the transport of the items. At some place in the chain there was a lack of caring.

We love the mattress BUT

We love the mattress BUT

We requested the mattress to be delivered at least to our floor, this was very clearly stated in the order and it was left in the entrance of the building.

The packaging was broken which left a deep black stain on the mattress

Your chosen delivery method is «Delivery to the door» means that the item (s) is delivered to the property boundary (as close to the front door you come by car). When delivering to apartments in ground floor properties, the item (s) is delivered to the street door / gate. For ordering of carry-in assistance, you need to contact Postnord.

They were also duplicated again in the email that you received after the order was shipped from a warehouse in Norway.

The best customer service in Norway.

We had the best experience with Futonota !!! Everything was just perfect. The mattress itself that we ordered is super and nothing tops the customer service. Best in Norway by far !!!! Japanese traditions with a Norwegian twist, perfect !
