Need more compassionate

I buy pretty often at this Gail’s and the seed crackers are my favourite. Last evening I bought seed crackers which tasted funny so I came back to the store to return it instead of being warm and understanding the employees started to question me about if I have receipt they thought I am some charity case. The guy at the counter was saying they give away free stuff and for same reason they cannot exchange it even after showing my bank transactions which clearly showed Gail’s on it. If I was a white person I would probably be not questioned the same way or assumed if I got free stuff. Such a bad service and I don’t think I will ever buy anything from this place ever again. The worst morning experience. You need to train your staff to be more compassionate empathetic towards all races. I also decided not to take a fresh piece because of the experience and looking down on me.

Food is stale, cold and not ever what you ordered!

This place is truly awful! The staff never manage to get the order right, the bakery offerings are stale and decaying and they don't heat up things like quiche or pastries. They couldn't even manage to fulfill an order for Earl Grey tea correctly. All this could be forgivable if the staff didn't stand around, giving off smug 'we work in a very special artisan bakery' vibes when they really, really don't! This is a review for Blackheath but I've had the misfortune of finding myself in Gail's before (there are just so damn many of them everywhere! Leaving no choice if you really want a hot drink!) and they are all hugely disappointing. AVOID!!!
