Avoid this company- Poor Services

I am deeply disappointed with the service I received for my laptop screen replacement. I paid £119.99 Despite calling five times, I never got a proper update—just repeated assurances that a technician would follow up, which never happened.

After yet another failed attempt, today I requested my laptop’s return and a full refund. They told that they will deduct £34.99 charge to get my own device back. This is completely unjustified, as the delays and confusion stem entirely from the company’s mismanagement.

The problems began when they provided the wrong postcode, delaying delivery. My laptop arrived on 27/05/2025, yet after 10 working day, I still have no update. Their contradicting statements—first claiming they ordered a screen, then saying a technician was working on it—raise serious concerns about their reliability.

I also not sure that my data is secured in the laptop or not

I expect my laptop returned immediately in its original condition, without extra charges. If unresolved, I will take further action.

Avoid this company if you value transparency and professional service!

Update as of 12:22pm on 23/06/2025:

As of 16/06/2025, the online tracking system listed my laptop’s status as “pending dispatch.” I followed up with a phone call to understand the delay and was informed the dispatch had been missed, but I was reassured it would arrive by Friday, 20/06/2025.

However, as of now, DPD tracking still shows: “We’ve received your order details, but have not yet received your parcel.” This continues to be incredibly frustrating and disappointing.I have sent messages and emails but no response.

Avoid them, poor customer service

I sent a numark mixdeck quad to have the cross fader repaired and the left channel cd laser checked. It arrived with this Company on the 24 April and since then I have been calling these people for the past 3 weeks and promises are made that someone will call me back, which has not happened. Today 30/5/25 I called them as they had given me today for it to be sorted and no one called back. Worst customer service and quick to take money for work not even started. Avoid them. Finally received my item repaired on 6/6/25, hence the extra star. Everything else stands, need to work on Comms and customer service.

Sent my ddj 1000 away for repair

Sent my ddj 1000 away for repair, picked up promptly, although the repair took nearly 8 weeks, because they moved premises ect, I don't know if 8 weeks is a long time for a ddj1000 repair, as never done it before, I was sent pics of the repairs going on, they were always on the end of the phone, or email, can't fault the service, I will be getting my controller back this Wednesday,I'm so excited, will be like Xmas for a kid. Thanks gamer tech.

Botched iPod Nano repair refunded

GamerTech appear to be overwhelmed. Their quality control is poor, they perhaps don't have the skill/experience required to repair the iPod Nano 7th generation, and they don't appear to accept responsibility if there is an issue. I give them credit for taking the unit back to re-repair, but it came back in a worse state.

Very few companies seem to want to take on battery replacements on iPod Nano 7th generation devices. My iPod was in great condition, but the battery life was getting quite poor. Although GamerTech had some negative reviews about delays, I decided to trust them with my iPod. When it was returned there were issues. The home button no longer clicked (but did function) and there was an odd mark on the screen when pressing the button or the lower part of the case. It suggested to me that it hadn't been repaired correctly and something was pressing on the back of the screen. I contacted GamerTech via email and then spoke with them. They initially stated that it didn't leave them in that state and implied that it was damaged in the post (they had packed it very well.) Apparently their quality control hadn't noticed a problem as the home button worked. There were comments about the replacement battery being marginally thicker and different types of adhesive. The original website description and terms and conditions give no suggestion that the battery replacement may mean the unit is damaged in other ways.

They agreed to take it back under their warranty - and paid for it to be returned. I received an email saying that the home button had been rectified and the pressure mark on the screen was due to the unit "not being factory fitted and the battery may have been a 10th of a mm thicker than the original." When it was returned the home button was slightly better - but still significantly different to how it had been, and the mark on the screen was less visible. However, after a couple of days the front of the unit started separating from the rear at the bottom until there was a 5mm gap.

I contacted GamerTech via email, and there was no response. I contacted PayPal and they fully refunded me the cost of the repair, but I now have an unusable iPod.

I'd advise against using GamerTech for iPod Nano 7th generation battery replacements.

filled in my issue on their site.they said they could fix it and told me how much it would cost.item pickup up.waited 2 weeks phoned them twice for progress eventually to be told they could not fix it.i asked for it back.initially when i asked for a refund they tried saying they have a minimum charge.item came back.i sent it to a different place where they found the issue was simply a bit of sealant under the power button.however gamer tech had disconnected various parts of motherboard meaning my simple fix now cost me over £200.paypal got me a full refund .they also use the name premier tech.my advice use a company you can trust not these.

The worst experience ever

The worst. They used DPD to pick up my Singing Machine 900. They never turned up on the day they were supposed to. The next day they came with the wrong size box after giving the person in Gamer the exact dimensions. We managed to fit my karaoke machine in the box and covered it in foam. The teenager that took the machine picked it up in his arms and carried it down 8 flights of stairs.
I received an email from Gamer with a photo of the box split in two and they tried to blame it on me. They had the dimensions but DPD brought the wrong size box. Their info says that stuff will be returned within 3-5 working days. It has been a month and not a word. Lawyers here I come
A terrible company.

A superb repair company

I can't rate this company high enough. I found them on google looking for someone who could possibly repair my old technics turntables, they are both approx 35 years old, and both now not working.
I contacted them and got a very quick response saying they thought they would be able to help. So I packed one up and sent it off using the dpd print off label they sent me after I had paid an inspection fee. I was kept informed of it's arrival and progress and just over a month later they let me know they had repaired it.
It was returned the next day and it's now in perfect working order, so needless to say that I packed up my other one and booked that in as well.
I can now listen to my record collection again and shall be going to Record Store Day on Saturday April 12th to buy some new ones.
A definite 5 star service all round for all their help, correspondence and fantastic customer service.
Thank you GAMERTECH

Saved from recycle bin

My personal experience of this company is one of great satisfaction. It was a toss up whether my old, but trusted amp, was destined to be recycled or replaced. Finding Gamer Tech gave a reasonably priced third option, to repair it. My first point of contact was with Molly on customer services. She was brilliant, clear, calm despite my issues with card payments. The collection and delivery services, excellent and easy to do. A bit of patience later, and excellent communication through emails kept me up to date on progress. For me, personally, an excellent company which did an excellent job, well do e everybody and thankyou.

I would rate it no stars if it was possible.

I recently had DJ equipment repaired by this service, i sent off my equipment in late December and received it back on the 27th, yes a full 3 months after. It appears the repair work has been completed based on evidence they sent me however my computer cannot detect the hardware. Quire frankly disguising, i don't blame the employees as they are clearly understaffed however avoid this company at all costs. Shambolic and i am £90 down, i refuse to send my equipment back even if it is under guarantee as I am not going through this process again for them maybe to fix it this time. Company has deep rooted issues, i urge you to manually take your equipment to a local and respected shop. Don't make the same mistake i did.

A victim of its own success

I sent an old (but good) turntable for repair in early December based on the great reviews prior to that and the low cost for examination to determine if it could be fixed. The initial contact and courier collection were easy. I wasn't in a hurry for the repair but after 2 months I tried to contact by phone and noted the reviews about issues due to being swamped with work. I was contacted in mid March with an update and assessment of the cost (very fair price) and received the turntable back last Friday after being sent a video of it working perfectly.
When I unpacked it and set it up it was not working and when I contacted Gamer Tech the following Monday the call was answered quickly by Molly and details gathered. I spoke with with the technician, Xavier, the following day and identified that it was likely damaged in transit although it had been return packaged very well. I was sent a free return label and sent it back. I got a message yesterday that it was clearly damaged in transit and later the same day a note saying it had been fixed and would be returned to me.
Although I am anxiously waiting for its return to me again (hopefully DPD won't toss it around this time) I am more than happy with the care and support from Molly and Xavier and intend to use them again very shortly for another repair to an old piece of hi fi.
I know they were overwhelmed with work previously but their handling of my return issue shows that they DO care about their customers.

Zero communciation for

sent in console for repair, got back to me after a month, then silence for 3 months. I've tried calling and emailing them to no response, if you call you will be stuck at number 1 in queue for multiple hours so doesn't look like they are even answering their phones. at this point I just want my console back, forget the repairs. Extremely disappointing, could not recommend less.

Sent in garmin sat nav for repair

Sent in garmin sat nav for repair. Zero updates on progress for over two months. Their email was on permanent auto response .Finally received update the first of which stated the obvious...fault same as reported which was pointless. Then recieved another saying that they couldn't fix it ..Have contacted another repairer locally that can .If only I'd done that in first place . Seems all they like doing is changing batteries ...nice easy money . I'd never use them again ...EVER

GamerTech are NOT Scammers

Several reviewers on here have been critical of Gamer-Tech’s service since Christmas, I to have had to wait a while for my iPod to be fitted with a new battery. I ran my own business for 35 years and I to was sometimes overwhelmed with work which is no bad thing, but can be really stressful for managers and staff alike.

I have just received by iPod back - it was well worth the wait. Now like a new one, all clean and serviced, thanks again to Gamer-Tech and well worth the wait!
