5 years, got shiny dice, didn't need to sue em

Many people seem to want to review said dice is when things go wrong with them or are wholly unsympathetic to the circumstances around what goes into making these. so I would like to counterbalance with some more tempered opinions.

I backed kick starter in 2021. Being around one of the first 600 to do so. I waited. 80 months of meaningful updates flowed in month by month like clockwork covering the trials and tribulations of getting this product put together behind what sounds like a proverbial hellscape of suppliers and design considerations.

Today I received my order nearby 5 years later. The end product is not life changing but certainly lives up to the original pitch. I have no doubt nor want to underplay other people's concerns. But I have ordered from companies in similar situations before with crushing backlogs of orders and requests to make it through. Customer service is non existent. Though that is the expectation, if the messed up the order I would be a bit more upset.

I waited, was patient without trying to bludgeon someone to death waiting for my shiny rainbow dice. Got them, some were less impressive, some were more impressive. But they did what they said, developed a very polished end product.

They sell the dice on amazon. Err... they are running a buisness? And like need this odd thing called... money. Be angry all you like I very much think the backer money was totally run down years ago. Some pragmatism is needed in service to them staying afloat. If they need to sell a few to keep cash flow stable then so be it. It is a ridiculous proposition to want them to bankrupt themselves fulfilling kickstarter backers so everyone looses... or is that just me?

Them suppressing bad reviews is somewhat worrying... but not really to be expected? Movie posters don't contain all the one star reviews.

This review is very rose tinted but honestly I could care less. These people have spent years grinding themselves to a pulp to put together a vision. They succeeded. And that was my only expectation for this project. Everyone eles may haul them over the coals as they may like.

Tdlr: Waited 5 years, got shiny rainbow dice, didn't have to threaten pulling in my navy seal sniper friend with over 300 confirmed kills to do it.

Great job team, when you get your backlog cleared hope you get a chance to remidiate some of these and you have a healthy supply of capitol to keep it all going! Don't be too disparaged by the angry hoards that really don't seem to have any respect for the practical realities of pushing forwards a project of this sort. And are more than happy to paint anything but things going beyond perfect as a scam. I do despair.

waited 601 days for the wrong delivery and lost contact.

I waited 601 days for my order, and when it finally arrived, it was not even the correct product.

I received a cheaper clear version instead. What makes this worse is that my order details on their website appear to have been changed to match the incorrect item after the fact.

This only happened after I had to repeatedly email them and even threaten legal action just to get any response at all.

After nearly two years of waiting, receiving the wrong product, combined with what looks like an attempt to quietly change the order, im pissed.

Dont buy anything from them.

Absolutely Useless

Like a lot of people, I backed a kickstarter for these dice in March 2021....yes 2021.
Since these there have been 80 plus updates, which mainly seemed to be the developer constantly swanning off to China, to "fix" issues. Personally, I think we were funding yet another holiday for him.
Then finally in Feb 2026, I got an email saying they'd been shipped, through that quality delivery firm Yodel.
A final kicker was when Yodel lost my parcel. As far as I can see on the tracking, it never left China. And try speaking to Yodel about it...but that's another story!
Now the company is totally ignoring messages, asking where the dice are, and what they are doing to sort this. I'm on my third e mail to them now, because that seems to be the only way of contacting them.
So all in all, a very poor experience with this company. They are either scam artists, or totally incompetent. I'd advise avoiding them at all costs.

Waited 17 Months for Nothing

On the 17th of October 2024, I ordered a dice from Game with Pixels for my brother for Christmas (or if it didn't show up his birthday in March), at that time they promised a 6-week delivery. Please note that this was a pre-order but was not part of their KickStarter. The dice I ordered was a D20 in Onyx Black. Well, Christmas came and went with no sign of the dice, then his birthday. I sent emails on 18/12/24, then again on 11/3/25. A year went by and I still received no dice and no communication. I sent an email again on 28/10/25 and then gave up. I accepted I'd spent $100 AUD on a dice I'd never get. Flash forward to this week...17 MONTHS LATER...and I get an email telling me that my order is on the way. I check the website, the dice are on sale for $55 AUD and the ultimate kicker, the dice I'm receiving is clear, my least favourite option that they had. In their "Blog" they said that we'd get emails about the colour, I never received one. So in summary, I've waited 17 months, paid twice as much, and will be receiving a product I never wanted. The company refused to communicate with me in any way, made endless excuses, and are the flakiest people I've ever delt with. Don't support them, don't buy their products.

Disgraceful

This company took millions for a Kickstarter, has developed the product, and now keeps pushing and pushing back bothering to ship dice to people in the US because of tariffs, all while continually selling the product on Amazon, clearly violating Kickstarter's terms of service. I have no idea whether I'll ever get my dice.

Years past fulfillment date

Years past fulfillment date, has taken extra money from backers saying that if they dont pay their shipping in January of 2024 then they would be at the back of the line for fulfillment, yet still over 2 years later hasn't fulfilled the orders, sold dice on Amazon and in person at conventions when his kickstarter backers still haven't gotten theirs.

Ordered in 2024

Ordered in 2024. Got in touch once to ask for refund. They assured me all was well and I just had to wait.

That was nearly six months ago.

And now, I had to find out through news and NOT from Pixels directly, that the colour I ordered is apparently impossible to do. Black by the way. Simple black. Apparently impossible to make a dice black.

Weird how it wasn't impossible to charge me for it.

I'm now being told I can expect to wait upwards of three weeks for a reply to my demand for repayment.

If they weren't ready to take orders on a website, they should never have opened a store.

Such a disappointment.

[UPDATE]
Upon receiving my complaint, both via email and discord, they rushed to send out my die.

The die is not what I ordered, but they are happy to tell me all sales are final. Retroactively.

They have in addition deliberately kept my payment method secret so I can't open a complaint with my bank or credit card.

I am opening a complaint with Shopify but don't expect results.

Scam artists.

This is a scam

Estimated delivery was march 2022 through Kickstarter. Now close to 4 years later they are busy selling and delivering on Amazon without delivering to the Backers.

Furthermore the dice which was supported is now declared to hard to manufacture and forcibly changed with no input to another Colorway with no way to ask for a voucher or another color. They claim it to be 'to much work' to set up such a system.

They faced a lot of negative feedback on this and I waited a month for the next update just for the owner Jean Simonet to double down on this ridiculous business strategy.

No Feedback, No Service - Scam

I ordered a total of four dice in August 2024. As of October 2025, they still haven’t been delivered. I’ve sent several inquiries but never received any response. The status of my order has never changed.
This website is a scam.

The dice itself is ok...ish but there is troubling behaviour from the company itself

The dice itself is ok...ish. It's early days and integration isn't ironed out, and is reliant upon third party companies working with them which is less than guaranteed. There are frequent cases of faulty dice, and the company is running on skeleton staff due to financial constraints which makes support basically non existant (multi month waits for responses)

But the main reason I'm writing this review is the fact that any review with less than 5 stars is blocked / filtered from their store page. That's pretty slimy (and illegal in many countries) - I would give 3 stars rather than 1 if not for that, I think people should be aware of that practise.

Horrible experience !!!!!!

Horrible experience.
I pre-ordered 2 single dice, they were shipped in October 2024, and as of today, May 13, 2025, I haven’t received anything.
I never got a confirmation email, no shipping email, and no delivery notice—not even one for held packages.
Now I’ve discovered that, after months, my package is being returned to the sender.
I’ve sent 5 emails to customer support and have been completely ignored every time.
I reached out on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn - always ghosted.
Customer support is non-existent. Truly awful service! I lost more than 100€.

Pixels Dice are a Scam

This company is a SCAM. 5 months later and I don’t have anything to show for my money. They collect funds and never furnish the order. There is always some sort of backlog. They won’t answer email inquiries. The problem boy dice that have been provided were kickstarter dice just to create a buzz to get osito place more orders for products they don’t actually have.
