great server with a great community. Can also be enjoyed without donating money (or as much as you are able)

One of the best GMOD Imperial RP servers I’ve played on! The staff team are extremely helpful and always doing the right thing from what Ive seen. Also The SMT/JMT team are extremely helpful and nice. Overall an amazing server to play on and can’t wait to play again tomorrow!

Scammers that extort people of money.

Gaminglight is a pretty good server in my opinion. There were a few weird things that were on the server but that is for most of Garry's mod servers

Overall amazing community interactions and responsive staff members as well professional managers and members of SMT across all servers are understanding of their roles and positions and always are looking to bring about changes with an attentive owner who tries to appease the masses. Every business interaction I've had with GamingLight has been quick and easy and any issues that arose were fixed within a timely manner if not by Zeeptin then by the amazing Support Team that GamingLight has.

Gaminglight's Servers have been some of the most fun I've experienced in a long time. I've never experienced any hiccups when it comes to management, and I recommend their servers to all my friends

With out this community I would not be in a good place so in a way Gaminglight saved me from myself. I had purchased a package that I had though gave me something that it did not, and I wanted to try and talk to the Support Team to see if there could be anything done that would help me. In my 1 hour of looking around not only in the forums, but also the discord sever and the store page itself, There was no real way that I could talk to a member of the Support Team other than messaging them directly.

After looking at PayPal for an option to try and contact them, I stumbled upon a website link that seemed to be the official ticket service where I could try and contact them, only to find that the website link lead to a "404 Page Not Found".

After another hour of looking, I yeild. I give up in trying to find a solution, and will try and make the best out of this situation. In trying to find a solution in making this mis-informed purchase, I have found a site that has a terrible support system, and wish to share my experience with others that my have had the same sort of journey I had taken in trying to find someone to talk to.

So yes I have problems with one server but genuinely it's not a problem that should effect Gaminglight as a whole.

This server has very good staff, GMs, management, and is just an amazing server in general.

So for a few years, GamingLight was going strong. Full servers constantly and a strong community, specifically SCP-RP. However, staff members with zero accountability and/or checks and balances like Pillercat, Weiss, and Chief, and a pay-to-win system that incentivizes paying hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars for custom classes ended up taking the server from the top 5 in GMod to scarcely able to hit triple digits during a holiday. Zeeptin's unprofessional, abrasive behavior to the public didn't help: just look at how he talks to people who have spent thousands of dollars in the Premiere Club Discord channel, threatening to ban them because they're eager to get what they paid for. Pretty scummy behavior. People have also been banned for writing negative reviews here.

GamingLight's biggest issue was that it relied too heavily on the custom class idea. When you can spend 5k for a MTF branch or a $500 for a class that is stronger or of equal strength to the default classes that are supposed to maintain order in the site or in D-Block, you are inherently destroying the gameplay balance and any semblance of roleplay, semi-serious or not. At what point does it make sense to have D-Class with better armor and weapons than GenSec? And as a result, this business model takes up resources and time that have constantly shafted the default branches time and time again when they've tried to get classes, models, and so on for their branch updates. Zeeptin chose the quick and easy monetization model of CCs, but in the long term he lost.

If he had actually invested money in paying a team of developers (does he even pay Coltable or Snar?) to focus on the server itself like other currently popular SCP-RP communities did, it could've paid dividends. Look at how well they're doing. Instead, he catered to the few that could afford the ever-raising cost of collectibles, CCs, and other nonsense and they're pretty much the only people that play now because of the sunk-cost fallacy: they've already spent so much, so they can't leave now right?

It's Zeeptin's right as a business owner to run his business as he sees fit. But unfortunately it's our right to vote with our feet, and many, many of us have at this point.

As per previous reviews, I don't think it's a big deal that Zeeptin slipped up and accidentally used a slur in a ban reason - sounds like the person he banned was frustrating him and he typed something in anger. But it speaks to his character that he not only lies about it in responses here, he deletes all traces of the ban, and has a filter that bans people for saying the exact same slur on his servers.

I am staff on Gaminglight PoliceRP and aside from the minges I love playing on here everybody is funny and king caring and we all look out for eachother and it is NOT pay to win there is SO MANY MORE WAYS to have fun on all of the couple of servers they have up!

Sadly my experience with the staff on SCP-RP has been relatively poor, a toxic environment with no Senior management watching over them. I had an issue yesterday where a staff member told me to "grow up, get a life and stop being a sad c**t" after I reported someone for calling me a "re***d" in-game. It left me quite upset.

I can't recommend this place to my friends or family as it seems like a very toxic environment.
