I spent 3.5 hours with Graeham designing exactly what I needed as a disabled person. Date to start was two weeks into July 2025. A price was agreed to do the whole job. I signed a contract and put down a 40% deposit as the terms - first mistake. YOU DON'T NEED TO SIGN ANY CONTRACT. THE SERVICE CAN BE DESCRIBED IN AN ESTIMATED INVOICE. CERTAINLY NO DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED EITHER. A STEP COMPLETION IS BETTER FOR LARGE JOBS. there was a space for a start I missed and was not filled in.
They came Nov 2025 fobbing me off with excuse after excuse. I wanted plants saved and potted. They said fine after I had named them. I came back home and they had all been destroyed.
The footings were only 100mm deep. I contacted a construction engineer. On a slope the footings needed to be at least 450 - 650 mm for an approx. 60" wall. The internet confirmed this so they did not build to Best Practice
Wall was supposed to 24" as described in a plan and urposely not included in the contract. They built a wall 200 mm and then - laced a fence on top that was too large.
When I queried how much soil for the raised beds. As this was not on contract it was now extra and so was the increased height for the raised beds which they led me to believe was in the quoted price at the beginning. Greaham's helper displayed inappropriate behaviour.
I was clearly going to be emotionally scammed at every step, which would eventually triple the agreed price. There were no specific details in the contract of what I had agreed and my diagram was not included. So I asked them to pick up tools and leave. I then received emails in which I was gas lighted. I then received an invoice as I had cancelled the contract, for another 40% on top of the 40% paid - which for a 20m x 200 mm wall and fence now totalled £8500!
The badge of honour is valueless. This is a new Company with very little history. They are given out by certain Associations. You have to apply and if you are the only one who applied, you receive it.
Graeham is a con artist promising anything everything and then purposely does not put it in his contract so he can emotionally blackmail you in the middle of the build.
Everything he did I have had to redo using best practice as described online. The fence had to be removed and resized at an extra cost of course.
