We love our new sitooterie. The process was very smooth and well organised, and the builders worked hard. The structure was finished very quickly. We can highly recommend Joe, Lee and the team.

Garden Rooms have made a wonderful studio for me during a difficult time because of Brexit and Covit. Both the Studio and the quality of work have exceeded my expectations. I had researched garden rooms on the internet and then called at their showroom to asses the possibilities. When I show them a photo of my art deco house they explained that they could design a studio that would match it. They did and the result is stunning.
Much thought had gone into the detail and required more crftsmanship than I had expected. Hence I wish to pay tribute to all the craftsmen who worked on the site with great care and skill.

It was a pleasure to work with the team at Garden Rooms, Dumfries from the day I walked in with an idea of having a Garden Room incorporating a home gym and hot tub, to delivery of the project itself. They all worked as a team to deliver a quality service. From the development of a plan, providing their expertise and advice, the timings and delivery of building materials to the completion of the project, they are professional, available, friendly and work hard to ensure everything goes smoothly. Importantly too they have remained attentive to any follow up issues I have had. I now have a Garden Room that greatly enhances my home and has hugely impressed everyone who has seen it.

What a fantastic service. The whole process from start to finish has been seamless. Kept up to date at all stages of the build, very helpful and professional staff.

We have a lovely building, put up with great expertise by the really lovely team from Garden Rooms Scotland.
This is a small family business, so some of the marketing isn't the most slick, but the final product is excellent.
From the site visit, through all phone and email communications, the company struck a good balance between courteous and friendly.
The cost seemed fair, matching other quotes we gathered.
We are super happy and would recommend their services.

This project was faultless from start to finish.
Highly skilled team met all deadlines and the Garden Room was built exactly to our specifications and to the highest standards.

Garden Rooms Scotland have built me a beautiful, solid garden room!

I went to Garden Rooms Scotland after having a bad experience with another company. My faith in tradesmen was at an all time low when I met Joe and his team, but they were fantastic from start to finish.

Joe and I designed the unit from scratch and played about with many amendments. He advised me on practical issues and also areas where I could save some money, for which I was very grateful. I then had to apply for planning permission and Lee in the office was so patient and helpful. She was always on hand to answer my questions or make further amendments and ping them back to me.

When it came to build time, the team’s professionalism was plain to see from the beginning and shines through in the final product. So much so that two of my friends are going ahead with garden rooms scotland for their own garden rooms.

The unit is a beautiful space made by a very professional team. It has been a pleasure dealing with Joe and his team - I highly recommend them!

Further to my recent review and response from Garden Rooms Scotland. I would like to clarify a few points :

Yes we are very happy with the ‘modular build’ garden room, it fits in well with our design proposal and sits really nicely at the rear of our house. I use this as an artist studio, and privacy and security are really important to me. This is why we needed a locking gate and securely built fence, to protect the rear of the house and access to my studio from the street and front of the house.

In response to your claim in your reply to my initial review, that you warned us against using wood for our fence and gate, we are stunned because this simply is not true. You did not warn us about the downsides of using wood for the design proposal that we had. When we put our proposal to you, you should have made any concerns clear at that stage, before went ahead and you didn’t. If you had we wouldn’t have gone ahead with it.
You have refused to take any responsibility for poor workmanship and repeated bungled attempts to fix it, each time falsely assuring us that the problems had been solved, and that we wouldn’t have to worry.
As I mentioned in my previous review, you promised us that you would have the gate and fence fixed once and for all in time for my wife coming home from hospital, and you haven’t done that. We were insulted and disappointed when after a year and a half of bungled attempts to fix our gate and fence (time after time having to wait weeks at a time, with no access to the rear of the house, whilst we waited for you to come and look at it AGAIN) that you could not manage to get things sorted once and for all. A vague offer to possibly come and have a look, if you are In the area, when it suits you is completely unacceptable.
We have consulted respected local builders and joiners and asked for their advice and help on our situation, and the feedback has been that we have been left with very poor workmanship and no one can understand or accept that the wood used can be blamed.

We are extremely disappointed and angry, it’s one thing to complete modular builds for garden rooms such as our studio, but you shouldn’t agree to take on additional work that you can’t complete properly to an acceptable usable standard. Also the travel distance from your premises in Dumfries to here, is a fair distance but you should have factored this in when you agreed to take on the work in the first place, this isn’t our responsibility.

Requiring more than a simple “garden room”, I was able to discuss my exact requirements with the design/planning team, & felt they listened to my thoughts & aims for the project. Timescale for the build was provided & only went a short time over schedule. Workmanship was excellent. The finished building has been much admired. I now have a superb workroom/office plus very comfortable guest accommodation

I bought a Garden Room from the folks in Dumfries a few years back. Noticed a slight problem with it last week and it was fixed within a few days, no questions asked.

This has been a life-changing project for my wife and I. She is wheel-chair bound and the progressive advance of her illness made the chair-lift to get upstairs to bed increasingly difficult. I investigated the possibility of erecting a garden room extension to provide a bedroom / wet-room for us, that would be wheel-chair accessible and meet the requirements of nursing-care staff. From the initial 'phone enquiry it took Garden Rooms Scotland a mere six weeks to visit the site, understand our detailed requirements, have the unit designed, foundations laid, unit erected and finished both externally and internally to allow us to move in within an incredibly tight timescale. All to budget with a fantastic and cheerful workforce! It has transformed our lives, thanks to Joe and his team at Garden Rooms Scotland. This new design of a Personal Assisted Living garden room will, we hope, be the solution to many other families who need a fast and good-value extension to provide ground floor bedroom/bathroom accommodation. Thank you very much.

We have had our garden room for almost 2 years and we absolutely love it! The design was exactly what we wanted and the team installed it in a week as planned with minimum mess and noise. The team were really great - even though we had a baby half way through installation!

The team have been really responsive and helpful with all of our queries.

We use the garden room most days, even through the winter, and it has been warm and cosy. Absolutely love it!
