I found this thorough approach to graphic design so helpful in 2022 that I decided to redo it again in summer 2025 with my daughter going into grade 7.
GDS has an excellent cadence for learners, and addresses each step like a mentor and not a YouTube influencer. He prioritizes explanations of subjects over celebrity status. Combined with his direct expressive statements are many prepared visual examples, we can digest his material in 15-30min bite sizes per day to make weeks of learning.

Well thought out, impressed with scope and resources. Professionally presented in a way that is easy to understand. Only reason to not give 5 stars is simply because I have noticed several spelling errors, which doesn't affect the content, but does stand out because as a designer, attention to such details is part of the job ;). Overall, very pleased with the product and appreciate how affordable it is. Well done!

I finished Gareth's After Effects for Beginners course. Lessons are short and easily digestible, organized in a great, logical way. Everything is so well explained that I feel confident to start using After Effects now.

Puts the colleges and universities to shame. The thing about videos and written tutorials is that everyone gets the exact same version. This is not the case at college or universities, sadly. Very well-structured, easy to follow, and a valuable learning resource.

£5.50 for these After Effects lessons and supporting files is an absolute bargain. GDS has delivered a top-class learning tool. Will definitely look at other products GDS offers.
