Everything was great but beware when lifting the Valflor 5L box
Everything was great and we will continue to order from you. However with the last 2 orders, the 5L box packaging of the Valflor red wine was substandard. In both the past two orders, when we lifted the box of wine up by the handle, the bottom opened up and the bladder of wine fell out. This happened with more then one box andin both deliveries.

Don't use this company for the UK
I love Portugese red wines.
I live in the UK and ordered 24 bottles of wine for £124 plus £26 shipping costs. What I was not made aware of at any time was the the shipment was liable for import duty. I have now had to pay £160 before UPS make delivery.
I contacted Garrafeira da Ilha asking for help but they basically told me it was tough and would not guarantee that if I didn't pay the import duty that it would be returned to them for a refund.
So if you live in the UK dont touch this company with a barge pole!!!!

Great prices, fantastic wine & good communication. Shipping seems expensive but it's transparent and as long as you order enough bottles the cost per bottle (wine cost plus delivery) is very good value. Highly recommend.

I liked the selection
I liked the selection, I liked the prices and like how easy it is to choose and to order. I didn't like how long it took to be notified that they had got my selection in stock but were replacing it with like for like. I also didn't like that when I asked if the cava would be the right bottle I ordered they said yes but instead of 6 bottles I only received 2 of them. They were for a birthday present so I couldn't present them. Very embarrassing for me. I will use again but I will hope for a better experience

The wine is very nice the order took…
The wine is very nice the order took quite some time to be delivered. Through the fault if the courier, the case had been damaged and loosely removed with one bottle out of the 12 missing and you could smell the red wine in the box and red stain where a bottle had been broken
