received the same email and guess what..
I recently received the same email that everyone who commented here received, a email that stated me, a small business owner who had very good reviews and feedback and that I was voted the best business in Britain, i was to receive a certificate and other stuff I was abit skeptical so I did some digging, after reading the comments I knew then it was a scam, i read to stay away and not reply but i wanted to find out more about them, I then replied to the email and was communicating with someone called Sophia, i acted like I was excited and I want to know how to apply she replied saying I had to pay £299 registration fee i replied back with a random link and said can you confirm this is your website, i got a reply and she said yes, what she didn't know i put a tracker on the link and as soon as she clicked on the link I found her exact location, her ip address, what computer she was using etc, and to everyone out there who are concerned or have been a victim of this scam they are scammers in Karachi, Pakistan they are not a company in the uk everything about them is a fake i did reply asking where their office was located but after that i heard nothing back so if you do come across these email's do not reply just block the email and delete, i hope this helps and reassure you.
This scam and others like it are…
This scam and others like it are getting more prevalent in our daily lives. PLEASE folks - sad to say I know - but you absolutely cannot trust any emails-texts-phone calls anymore. Always research before responding. This platform for reviews, Whois for website ownership and a judgement on authenticity, Companies house for (GOV.UK) also for authenticity and if there are images put one into the google search image facility - fascinating what comes up!
Has to be a scam!!!
Non-stop emails from a scam company
Non-stop emails from a scam company. Had to block them and mark their company as spam to stop us from getting emails. I’m going to do a social media post on these people to expose them. I’m lucky enough to have a platform of 150k followers, so hopefully people will be made aware.
Based on these reviews
Based on these reviews, I’m feeling a bit disappointed I only got an approved email and haven’t won an award!!!
#scammers
gbbr-who? Oh, I get it - scammers.
Got an email that we have been selected for an award. That's amazing, isn't it!
I Just have a few questions:
1. What's the dress code for the award night?
2. Will there be enough room for all our staff?
3. Can you please respond with your bank account, sort code, account name, authorized signatory, login details so I can arrange payment via bank transfer?
Who thinks up these scams?!?
Thank you Trust Pilot from saving me…
Thank you Trust Pilot from saving me from yet another SCAM - apparently I had won an award - if I wanted to pay for it.......
Total spam email
Unsolicited spam email from a company I have never had contact with. It looks like i am not the only one with the same issue with this "company."
Spam - Fraud - Fake - WARNING AVOID
Scam. Spam.
Pay them for an award you don’t want.
Unsolicited emails.
Avoid.
Don’t reply to their emails.
DON'T FALL FOR THIS
These people are complete and total scammers.
They scrape google for small businesses, then offer that they will give you an award. They won't. You must pay for this fake award which is never actually given to you.
Whatever you do, don't give them ANY money or personal details.
Keep vigilant guys.
Scammers
Scammers, nearly fell for it thanks to Trustpilot reviews PHEWWWW!!!
This company are relentless spammers
This company are relentless spammers. Different people emailing with the same content. Avoid!
Addition: - 02/01/2025 - Even when you threaten to report them, they still continue to spam you. Three months later I am still getting emails.
Spam
Spam - easy to see. Prey on small businesses with a 'limited time' offer, quick Google shows nothing authentic about them. Don't get fooled...
Very likely a scam
Unsolicited spam emails claiming to promote your business on their website with no real positive. Nothing but a fake awards company pretending to have some gravitas. Do not give them any money
This is a scam/fraud
This is a scam/fraud. Have a look at their Instagram account. Every post has 1000 or so 'likes' that are all/almost all fake. The accounts that 'like' their posts have very few followers, follows and posts - a big red flag that the company itself is fake. There are no independent sites that have anything good to say about this company.
Spammers
Spammers, unsolicited junk email about their "Awards" with no worth
Scammer preying on small businesses.
I am almost 100% certain this website is a scam that prey on small businesses. I received an email from rachel@gbbrbacclaim. com claiming I'd been selected for best business but I got the feeling this wasn't legitimate from the get go. I went to the website and emailed the main contact information and it bounced. This is not the first company to do this and won't be the last.
Please do not give them your money to be 'featured' on their website.
There's even a checkbox below that states: **Let Gbbrb know about your review. Just check the box and we'll notify them. The review will be sent to info@gbbrb. co.uk.** However this email address is not real, and they will not receive anything.
SCAM
My wife received an email from this 'company' today and she asked me to look into them.
This website scans google and pulls details of small businesses. It will then email stating you have been selected for an award/ been nominated. You then have to pay a fee for your award and to be listed on their website.
If you email them with a completely made up business and website surprise surprise you can still get an award.
Fake reviews and comments on their instagram.
Some of the larger companies on their listings I am sure don't even know they are on there.
The website is just a version of the one they had in America and Canada. It still lists 'search by state' on their search bar.
The website has only existed since November 2023 but list awards back to 2018.
Please do not give these people your money.
