GBSERVERS.CO.UK ENGAGE IN DISHONEST & UNLAWFUL PRACTICES
STAY AWAY FROM GBSERVERS.CO.UK - DISHONEST, UNLAWFUL AND UNACCEPTABLE PRACTICES.
Before I begin, I would like to say that I have VPS's with many providers such as fast2host, digital ocean, and Linode - I HAVE ONLY EVER HAD RUDE, UNREASONABLE OR UNLAWFUL SERVICES FROM GBSERVERS.CO.UK - STAY AWAY FROM GBSERVERS.CO.UK
The short story
GBSERVERS.CO.UK THEN WENT AHEAD TO ALTER THEIR TERMS & CONDITIONS TO INTRODUCE A NEW TERM AND THEN TELL ME THAT THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME A REFUND BECAUSE OF THE NEW TERM AND THEN DENIED THAT THEY CHANGED THE TERMS (I HAVE PROOF THAT THEY DID).
Once I challenged them and told them that their practices were unlawful as per the Consumer Protection Act 2015, they then gave a refund. However, THEY WERE UNPROFESSIONAL, UNREASONABLE, BEHAVED UNLAWFULLY AND THEIR CONDUCT ATROCIOUS.THEY DENIED ALTERING THE T&CS (i have proof that they did).
The Long Story
I had taken advantage of gbservers.co.uk sale and got a VPS.
The VPS got hacked and I was informed that the service had been suspended. I enquired with GBServers as to how I could get the VPS back up and running - they informed me that they I was unable to as apparently, I was spamming (the server got hacked).
This effectively meant that they had terminated my service without notice and a term which was not in their original T&Cs (that I had agreed to when I signed up - I checked).
After informing GBservers that I had not spammed and it was a hack, they reluctantly offered me to restore my service now somehow. Long story short, I did not like the way they were handling the situation I then requested a full refund as per their terms & conditions. They denied the request initially and said as I had "broken their terms and conditions" I was not eligible for a refund. I had once again reread the terms & conditions and told them that there was no such term or clause.
