Foxwell NT530 scanner
Ordered a Foxwell NT530 scanner. Great price and delivered quickly.
Somewhere along the line there was a mix up in the order which may have been on my part. However, this was quickly sorted by the Gendan team and I am now able to see what my DB9 is up to.
Customer service was excellent. Website may benefit from a few minor tweaks re information displayed at time of order confirmation but that does take away from 5 star rating.

Quality tools. Excellent service.
Over the years I have owned 2 Mercedes CLK's. I searched the internet looking for a quality OBDII reader for my last car. I discovered Gendan. The first reader was outstanding. I offered this to a friend who still feels the reader is outstanding. More recently I purchased the MAXIECU. Great piece of wireless tech. Can use on my laptop. What is even better is the customer service. These guys give excellent advice and answer any questions you have very quickly. In a world that is flooded with inferior products, I can say Gendan is not one of them. The MAXIECU cost £118 delivered which is a bargain. Take your car to the garage then it will cost over £100 before they turn the machine on. You could but cheap imported stuff for £20 but to be honest you are most likely wasting your money.
Summary: I have used Gendan twice now because they sell quality at reasonable cost and you can rest assured you will experience excellent customer support.

Very Satisfied
I received the ODBC and it seems to be working fine, there was a payment mix-up which I thought was with Gendan, but turned out to be with the Card company. Gendan dealt with this in a positive and patient way. I would be more than happy to deal with Gendan again and to recommend their services to anyone.

Hi John,
We're glad that you're happy with the tool.
Unfortunately, as we explained in our email reply to you last Thursday, it's not actually us holding the money, it's your bank, so our hands are tied in that regard.
When you initially tried to use your card, your bank reported that the card's registered address didn't match the postal address, so the payment was automatically aborted.
However, because of the way that online transactions work - your bank "reserves" the funds in your account during the initial process of the transaction, ensuring that you can't spend the same money twice, while they carry out checks to ensure that it's a legitimate transaction.
Once the payment was aborted, we had no claim on those funds, and they have not arrived with us (and will never arrive) - they're still being held in reserve by your bank.
It's then the responsibility of the bank who issued your card to "unreserve" that money in a timely manner.
Once they've done this, the pending payment will simply disappear, rather than being 'refunded', since the money hasn't actually left.
If the bank suggests that this isn't the case, or the pending payment doesn't disappear, we'd recommend you suggest to your bank that they should file a "chargeback" against the card payment - this will prove to them that we do not have your money (and cannot take it).
As you know, the second £69 payment was by bank transfer in order to get around the card and address issues - that's the only payment we have received.
I hope your bank is able to help you swiftly - if there's anything else we can do in order to help, please let us know - thank you for choosing Gendan.

Super happy with the service I received from Gendan - I bought an OBDLink CX diagnostic dongle and it was very well priced, plus arrived fast and well packaged, together with a free gift of sweets inside!
