Very bad experience

Unfortunately, my experience with this company was disappointing due to ongoing organisational and communication issues.
I experienced repeated problems throughout 3 months of working here, including paying for a VPN service that disrupted my work (which also affected another colleague) and being charged the wrong rate after receiving an incorrect contract. Communication throughout was poor.
After initially handing in my notice, I was asked to retract it once issues were discussed, which I agreed to. However, upon returning from approved time off, I was unable to access the practices with no prior communication. I later received notice that my contract was being terminated due to “reliability,” which I strongly dispute, as I have always been hardworking and dependable. They take advantage of people looking for jobs, they deduct money unjustly.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend working for this company

Strong warning to anyone considering…

Strong warning to anyone considering working with this company.

I worked with them for around 3.5 months and received only £540 in total, despite working most of my scheduled hours. Payments were withheld due to internal policies and administrative conditions that were far more severe than I expected.

In my experience, the financial risk was extremely high and the payment structure was unclear and unforgiving. I felt the deductions were disproportionate and financially damaging.

After leaving, I also noticed that multiple other workers online report similar problems, which suggests this may not be an isolated case.

I personally would strongly advise anyone to think very carefully before joining and to get all payment conditions in writing.

AVOID!!

I worked for this company for several months last year and can honestly say it was the worth decision ever!
At onboarding it was not mentioned the laptop criteria needed which resulted in me having to buy another one to meet the need for the programs!
The pay deductions are ridiculous and relies on Microsoft Teams not failing you as this is one way they monitor you working!
The communication from them is shocking, they constantly remind you about being prepared for jobs e.g reading SOP's/Protocols but hardly ever had them ready on time leaving you unable to work which you are then not paid for! Also were late issuing log-in details for the practices, again leading to not being able to work and no payment.
Having worked in Primary Care for 15 years this company is a joke and needs to be investigated!

Avoid This Company

I worked for General Practice Solutions as a Clinical Coder (Remote) during August and September 2025.
My wages for August were not paid on time, so I contacted the Finance Dept. Two days later, I received a brief message informing me that a payment had been made, but I was not provided with any other information.
The payment was a lot less than I was expecting and it was only as a result of me contacting the Finance Dept again that I was informed a total of £342.49 had been deducted from my pay for equipment charges.
The breakdown of costs: VPN download - £292.50, Headset - £17.00 and Smartcard Reader - £32.99.
The salary for a Clinical Coder is currently £12.50 per hour which was based on processing a minimum of 22 medical documents per hour. That is approximately 3 minutes per document. Pay deductions are made if you do not achieve this hourly target. You do not earn any additional pay if you exceed the 22 minimum requirement.
Some documents were so detailed and lengthy it was extremely difficult to read through them thoroughly, code them accurately and then forward document to the relevant clinician with added notes in under 4 minutes.
Other deductions are made for lateness (I was never late) for example: 15 minutes pay is deducted if you are 1 minute late. So, if you are 4 minutes late then 1 hour’s pay is deducted from your wages.
Meetings, courses and training are completed in your own time and unpaid.
Last month, I received a confusing message from the Finance Dept, on my phone, stating they were going to make deductions from my wages for September. They attempted to deduct one week’s wages for not achieving the hourly targets and also accused me of being a total of 3 minutes late (which translates to 45 mins late) during that pay period (this was inaccurate). The message instantly disappeared from my phone after I had read it. I would’ve had no record of this message if I hadn’t taken a screen shot as proof.
To prevent a repeat of what happened with my payment for August, I contacted the Finance Dept and asked them to provide evidence of lateness. They were mistakenly attempting to deduct £140 from my wages for being 3 minutes late. I requested a download of how many documents I had processed during September and a full breakdown of my gross pay, deductions and net pay. This is in line with their own Pay and Expenses Policy. They didn’t respond to my request for this information and I still haven’t received it.
They did say they would review the lateness issue and I don’t think they made any deductions for this, but I am unable to confirm as I have not received any pay info from them.
Other deductions were taken from my September pay, but GPS have not provided any information despite me making numerous requests.
I know I am not the only Associate who has gone through similar experiences with this company. A few weeks ago, another Associate informed me they had not been paid any wages for 2 months and that their messages and requests for payment had been ignored.
The way GPS operates needs to be thoroughly investigated.
At the end of October, I submitted a Subject Access Request in order for GPS to provide me with information about my earnings and pay. True to form, they have not responded within the 30 day deadline and I will continue to pursue them for this information.
I would urge anyone experiencing similar issues with this company to do the same.
