Suspected sabotage several times

I have suspected sabotage several times from the HVAC branch of this company, because 3 different times something went wrong with my system 1-2 weeks after they came for routine maintenance checks. There are many similar complaints of possible sabotage, and lots of unethical upselling on the BBB site, despite an A+ rating. This time my furnace could not handle temperatures below 40 degrees, which it did very well last winter. I asked another business to check it, and they found that the second stage of the heating system had unused, unconnected wires in both the thermostat and the rooftop unit. The nice guy suspected ignorance and inexperience in prior repairmen, but since the gas furnace has worked well all prior years, I suspect the wires were replaced and left unconnected.
