Matt has everything very well planned and thought out. We wet to Peru in August 2025, saw lots of things I probably would not have known of if we went on our own. Most of the time we stayed 2 nights at each hotel which I think is much better than packing up every day. We stayed in Lima for 3 days on our own afterwards.

I just returned from my second excellent trip with Geotours, this time to Peru (with my spouse) and Bolivia. The trip preparation and organization was super thorough and we covered a lot of ground efficiently while staying at convenient and generally comfortable accommodations. We enjoyed diverse and well planned activities but also had some free time. The company owners are exceptionally experienced travelers who lead their tours personally, in a responsive and responsible manner. I have already committed to two more upcoming trips with them.

I had a fabulous time traveling to Southern Africa, especially Botswana and Namibia with GeoTours. Matt and Susan were very professional with leading our group on a schedule that included seeing wildlife, learning the histories of the countries, and experiencing the cultural aspects of townships, and tribes. A great mix of experiencing Africa. The local guides in the national parks were very knowledgeable and flexible to what our group was interested in, whether it be the large mammals, birds or plants. GeoTours had most of the trip scheduled with planned activities, but they also had many options for extra excursions to go on or we could just relax at the hotel. The accommodations were all clean and comfortable and varied from 3 - 4+ star facilities. This was an experience I will never forget and I hope to travel with them again.

I recently went with GeoTours to Bolivia and Peru, my 6th trip with them so far. The owners/leaders Matt and Susan designed and executed the trip plan very well - for instance, the Peru trip started with Arequipa, a lower altitude historical city, before going up to high altitude cities/places. the trip ended in Machu Picchu, one of the seven wonders of the world. most local guides are very knowledgeable with good English. The hotels they booked are from the same chain, with similar facilities and services, easy to adjust. What i particularly like is Matt was a geography professor, so he explains the natural setting, cultures and histories with depths. I have recommended this tour (and others) to my friends, as GeoTours trips make participants "be a traveler, not a tourist," as the late Anthony Bourdain advocated.

I've traveled with GeoTours to Bali, Ecuador, Sicily and Peru, and I have no plans on traveling with anyone else other than GeoTours. Each travel experience has left me in awe. Matt and Suzan are incredible guides. I promise that if you travel with GeoTours, you'll be planning your next adventure before your trip is even over. I love traveling with GeoTours. The itineraries are well thought out, giving each participant on the trip an opportunity to experience both the culture and truely new experiences. I appreciate the attention to detail when these trips are planned. The accommodations are always very unique and comfortable. Geotours will certainly show you the world. The sheer number of unique destinations to choose from is extraordinary. Having traveled several times with this company I can assure that you will see everything at each destination that you would want to see and often times more. Matt is a retired geographer and loves to show people the world. I highly recommend geotours. Informative, efficient and affordable compared to some of the other big your companies.

The recent GeoTours adventure in Japan was everything I hoped for and more. We visited beautiful cities, saw the Snow Monkeys and Mt Fuji in all it's glory. Stayed in lovely hotels and local accommodations. Saw beautiful cherry blossoms. Matt and Susan are not just travel agents, they are tour guides and friends. They provide the best of the best when travelling. They look out for their own and offer helpful suggestions to make our experience more enjoyable. I have travelled with GeoTours to many wonderful countries over the past ten or more years and each experience has been amazing and memorable.

My recent trip to Bali was wonderful mixing adventure, education and relaxation. You always have choices in case you want to opt out of one thing or another. I enjoyed river rafting, snorkeling, and swimming, walking through a forest with a naturalist, learning about the culture, taking a cooking class and best of all getting massages and relaxing at some wonderful resorts. If you have a question or a problem, GeoTours is there to respond immediately? Also, they are very reasonably priced. I highly recommend their trips to everyone.

The trip was well organized. Accommodations were great. We especially enjoyed the bus driver and his shared knowledge of the history, biology, and culture of the area we toured. A great trip for the price. A nice blend of geology, culture, and free time to explore.

I’ve traveled with Matt and Suzan Ebiner to South Africa, Morocco, Mongolia and Japan.

The most recent experience was Japan. If I chose to go on my own, I don’t think I would have seen and done so much in such a short period of time — and with down to earth and friendly folks.

It’s always an amazing and wonderful experience with them - they go above and beyond. I also enjoy the folks on each trip - most are repeat travelers, which fosters a great community.

If you’re looking for more than just being a tourist, highly recommend GeoTours!

I was finally able to travel with GeoTours, and it was all I hoped for and more. The small group tour (10 p) felt like a group of friends traveling together. Matt E, owner and tour leader, made the international trip as seamless as possible, including flight changes leaving the US and transition flights at the end. We had a local tour guide, Been Tours in Bangladesh, providing us
us with information and experiences through his local connections we would not have experienced otherwise. This included walks through open markets, lunch in the village home of a boatsman, hiking through the Sundarbans and swimming in the Bay of Bengal, a special meal in a tribal village in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Too many highlights too list -- The itinerary was varied, communication was clear, and the prices are reasonable. I can't wait to go on my next adventure with GeoTours!

Traveling with Geotours was amazing. Was my first trip and look forward too many more. Professional organized and extremely helpful in anything i was not sure about. Accommodations were outstanding and tours were exceptional .!!! Only way to Travel!!

Guided tour of New Zealand with emphasis on Geology, but also lots of useful info on geography, history, culture, flora and fauna. Tour guides and bus driver were experienced, informative and genuinely enthusiastic. Good balance between group experiences and individual time.

Everything was so well planned out and organized - all I had to do was enjoy! A variety of activities made every day an adventure.

Our geology tour of Iceland is one of the high points in my life of travel. So well organized, due to the long experience of the leaders, and there ability to take you to, and explain, these unique in the world sites. Our Geologist was a great teacher, our driver and our organizer very personable and able to introduce us to the culture and people. We arrived earlier to have more time in Reykjavik...glad we did.
